Powers
Sense Electronics[/color] [Mutant, Technology] Drawing on her unique connection to technology, Jane can intuitively sense where technological devices are around her.
Mechanics: Super-senses (Detect Technology, Ranged, Extended, Radius). 4 ranks. Range Increment for Notice: 100' [4 points]
Data Control [Mutant, Technology] Jane has a strange gift--or curse. Her brain can essentially function like an electronic device, complete with wireless capabilities, allowing her to tap into remote systems, utilize surveillance equipment, eavesdrop on phone conversations, and perform other feats.
Mechanics: Array, 5 ranks (Provides 10 points). Feats: Alternate Power x6. [16 points]
- Eavesdrop [Mutant, Technology] When Jane first gained her abilities, she couldn't shut up the voices in her head--phone conversations, happening all around her, for miles. It was torture. But now she's learned to control her abilities, and can easily tap into conversations happening all throughout Freedom City--and beyond.
Mechanics; [Default Power] ESP (Audio), 7 ranks (200 miles). Extras: Simultaneous (+1), Dynamic (+1). Flaws: Medium (-1, Wireless/Phones). Feats: Subtle (DC 27 Notice check). [9 points] - Remote Surveillance [Mutant, Technology] Jane can send her vision through the electronic world as well, tapping into cameras and video technology.
Mechanics: [Alternate Power 1] ESP (Visual), 7 ranks (200 miles). Extras: Dynamic (+1) Flaws: Medium (-1, Cameras/Videos). Feats: Subtle (DC 27 Notice check) [9 points] - Living Cell Phone [Mutant, Technology] Jane has learned to use her abilities for more mundane benefits. She can directly tap herself into the phone network and initiate calls, communicating over vast distance--like her own, personal signal tower.
Mechanics: [Alternate Power 2] Communication (Wireless, Audio), 8 ranks (2,000 miles). Extras: Dynamic (+1) [9 points] - Remote Access [Mutant, Technology] Perhaps the most important of Jane's powers is the abilities to remotely access computers and tap into them from afar, enabling her to manipulate data without ever setting foot in a facility.
Mechanics: [Alternate Power 3] Datalink (Communicate w/ Computers, Mental), 6 ranks (20 miles). Extras: Dynamic (+1) Feats: Cyberspace (can project consciousness into net), Rapid (10x speed). [9 points] - Jam Technology [Mutant, Technology] In a pinch, Jane can cause an electronic device to go haywire--usually a pesky security camera.
Mechanics: [Alternate Power 4] Nullify (Technology), 8 ranks. Flaws: Check Required (-1, Computers). [8 points] - Universal Translator [Mutant, Technology] Though it takes considerable focus, when confronted with foreign languages and complicated ciphers, Jane can use her impressive mental computer access to rapidly translate or decode whatever she hears or sees. She can even translate her own words into another language, in essence making her capable of speaking anyone's language. It's just a shame she can't do this while eavesdropping on people...
Mechanics: [Alternate Power 5] Comprehend, 4 ranks (Read, Speak, Understand all languages; comprehend all codes/ciphers). Extras: Dynamic (+1). [9 Points] - Remote Activation [Mutant, Technology] Jane can use her electronic mastery to remotely activate--and control--machines in her vicinity. For instance, activating a car to run over a particularly troublesome pursuer, or just giving her a getaway vehicle.
Mechanics: [Alternate Power 6] Machine Control (Move Object Limited to machines), 4 ranks (60 points). [8 Points]
Equipment
Jane has 25 points worth of equipment, used for the following:
200 Card Avenue, Apt 1621 Sixteen floors up in a high-rise apartment complex, Jane makes her home in an obscure, out-of-the-way loft. Barely something you'd even notice, really. Her inconspicuous apartment is a little uncomfortable, strictly spartan--but serviceable.
Mechanics: Headquarters, size fine (loft). Toughness +10. 5 features. [2 points]
- Reinforced Doors and Walls A little paranoid, Jane is careful to keep her door strong and sturdy, her windows barred, and her walls reinforced.
Mechanics: Toughness +5. - Communications System Jane is her own walking cell phone, but it pays to have some stay-at-home equipment. Radio scanners, private lines, and other complex systems for sending and receiving information are paramount to Jane's life. She's sure to keep a computer with internet access up for the same reason.
Mechanics: Communications. - Database Keeping track of current affairs and changing technologies helps keep Jane apprised of people that might want her services. She keeps a healthy database of information on her home computer, and continually searches (and hacks) for more information.
Mechanics: Library (Helps to take 20 on the following Knowledges: Technology, Current Events, Pop Culture, all Sciences, Business, and Civics) - Locks and Alarms Jane hopes her home is never found, but if it is, she has a standard lock and alarm system set up to try and protect it--though her most precious information is always in her head.
Mechanics: Security System (DC 20 Disable Device) - Where do you live again? Jane's little apartment is out of the way, in a frustrating part of the city to navigate, and poorly identified. People have a hard time getting there when they know where they're going, let alone when they don't.
Mechanics: Concealed. Skills checks to locate Jane's abode are increased by +10.
Tools of the Trade Jane keeps a lot of little devices to help make her life easier, and her jobs run smoother.
Mechanics: Urban Camouflage (+5 to Stealth in Urban settings), Masterwork Tools (+2 to Disable Device checks), Masterwork First Aid Kit (+2 to Medicine), Masterwork Wiring Tools (+2 Craft: Electronics), Night-vision Goggles (Darkvision), Smoke Grenades (Obscure Visual, 10'), Video Camera, Mini-tracer, Gas mask. [13 points]
Weapons She wouldn't be much of a corporate spy without some armaments. Jane keeps her personal handgun close at hand, and a knife for when she needs to be extra quiet.
Mechanics: Knife (Damage 1, Mighty), Light Pistol w/ Suppressor (Blast 3, Subtle) [10 points]

Background:
'Mercenaries came in many shapes and sizes. Each is a tool for a job. The physical ones are the most obvious, but rarely the best tool for the job. Why kill someone when you can entirely ruin them? Spy barely touches the surface of what I can do, Hacker doesn't even begin to explain it. I am Jane, there is no other term to describe me nor what I do. I already know what it is you want me to do, so why dont you tell me what your willing to offer...'
Jane heard her own voice echo through the channels of the reciever, she heard it on both ends. Knowing who was calling this payphone was just as important as knowing the job, and she already had both knowledges. Upon hearing the offer she touches the Key 1, and hangs up.
Jane steps away from the phone booth, and touches her silver shades to make sure they are on right. With a slow glance all around she tunes into the electronics in the area, listening in on everything. Finding nothing out of the ordinary she turns and moves on, back to her home to do some more research and prepare. Her turn made her hair lift into the air and catch the sunlight. Were there anyone around they might remark about a young lady, with silver hair longer than the middle of her back, wearing all white with silver shades... But no one was around, which is why she chose this booth. She almost always knows when others are around, who doesn't carry electronics in this day and age? But just to be sure... Jane looks up into the sky for a moment, and a camera on a building above her moves back to watching whatever it was supposed to, as it records over the only proof she had been there...
