Trapfinder ability
"Self-made Zweihänder": Having put all your pride and craftsmanship into the large two-handed sword, which you designed specifically to your own preferences, its grip and weight perfect for your hands and size, you can treat your own Zweihänder as a Masterwork weapon, though only you can wield it as such. Also, the great length of the blade allows you to use the weapon as a reach weapon, though only by overreaching and taking a consequent -2 to AC for one round and -2 to the reach attack, and you also provoke an AoO when you do so.
"Keeping a low profile": Life on the estate has taught you to be quite to avoid punishment, to keep a low profile, perhaps even dissapear, like once (or several times), when you nearly found your way to freedom by escaping the Hümmel clan. As such you have gained some experience at escaping notice and being on your own. You gain +1 to hide and move silently, +2 to escape artist and +2 to survival.
"Forlorn Hope Volunteer": Though officially you escaped Forlorn Hope, the men that weren't so fortunate still regard you as one of their own, especially when you stood up against the court and the nobleman accusing you, and when you volunteered to join the team. With that, a special bond exists between you and the other men of the Forlorn Hope. When fighting side by side with another of the Forlorn Hope (within 5ft reach), you and those within 5ft of you gain +1AC. Also, when you use the Aid Another action to aid one of the Forlorn Hope in combat, they get +4 to AC or Attack instead of the normal +2.
"Cautious Tracker": You've literally been walking in the dark for half of this chapter, trying without success to find the spies inside the catacombs. Yet despite this, you evaded two dangerous traps, explored the intricate maze of tunnels, found your way out through the secret exit and inspected possible evidence of Turkish presence, which might have been all that could reasonably be expected. Both success and error together make up exercise: you gain the Track feat and the rogue's Trapfinding ability.

Backstory
"If I was to write my autobiography, what would I say? What would be my moment of glory? I helped sack the city of Rome for the glory of the Holy Roman Empire! That's what some in my position would say..... well not my position, I'm going to be hanged. 'Why' you ask? Because I ignored my lord. Yes, I told my lord I would not kill women and children so he could line his pockets. The yellow bastard, he had me lashed and when I refused to beg for his forgiveness he turned me over to his superiors under the crime of 'Traitor: Refusing to obey Commander's orders'. Hah! They think I wouldn't stop looting, he didn't tell them it was his own crime that I refused to commit. I suppose that is worthy of death in this God-forsaken world." the man spits blood and ugh, a tooth, just what he needed. "My only consolation is that it took Hümmel an hour to convince them that he was in fact a noble in charge of a battalion." he pauses, "What? You don't know the Hümmels? Don't worry, they didn't either. Well, Konrad Hümmel is here in Italy playing Commander with about fifty of the men from his family's tiny plot of land while his fat waste of a father, Melchior Hümmel stays at home and keeps the estate going for when his son comes back with 'glory and riches'. If there was ever a family less deserving of their title it is them. Would you believe me if I told you that I am not a warrior but rather a swordsmith from the Highlands? It's true, the Hümmel's somehow were tricked into buying me from my English captors as a slave or smith for them when I was seven. It was like they never paid attention to the deal and were expecting a man to arrive at their estate. Let me tell you, they were furious. Not only did I have to learn all of the tenants of my father's profession quickly, but I was forced to be Konrad's servant and whipping boy. Oh yes, they were fooled into buying me, but they made sure they got their money's worth by tormenting me with work and then punishing me whenever Konrad and screwed up. And if I didn't smile when Konrad wanted to play, well then I must have just really wanted some lashes." Hans spits again, wiping his mouth. "If you want to know what I think my greatest accomplishment is: It's surviving that hell hole and living the past decade and a half in that nightmare of a country. Believe you me, I've tried to escape, taught myself to read and write, survive on my own, learned how to make a brilliant sword, I even taught myself how to fight in this useless war so I wouldn't die under that fool's command."
The man stands up, "By the way, you can call me Hans, Hans Wilhelm. It's not my real name, I don't remember that anymore, but it doesn't really matter now, dead men don't need names."
