Starting Level- 18th. Starting Gold- Standard for that level. (I'm AFB right now). Allowed Material- Any and all of 3.5 Compatible Material produced by Wizards of the Coast. If you want to use something else, run it by me. 32 point buy. Try to avoid any badly broken combos. Eg. Using a combination of Cerelity and Arcane Fusion as a Sorc to use up every spell you can cast per day in a single round. Try to avoid Campaign Smashers.

I understand that we're avoiding utter stupidity, but otherwise what power level are we shooting for?
1) Intuitive design 2) Focused design 3) Reasonable optimal design 4) "Try as hard as you can to be as powerful as possible and just barely avoid getting your build banned" optimal design

Up to 3. Just don't explode the monster in 3 rounds.

Will we have any buff time?

Probably.
Found my DMG.
Starting Wealth is 440000 gp. Spend as you like, no more that 1/3 can be spent on a single Item.

I would argue we play this like the arena, but outside say....no buff time unless we can stall. I feel as a DM that can often lead to an unfair player advantage.

Well, I know I'm knew here, but I'd like to give this a try. Been playing D&D for a long time now, but just introduced to this site through one of your members (I'll let you guys figure out who, heh).
Anyways, I'll start making a character if I'm allowed. That Master of the hunt is pretty ridiculous, although I think his hounds are just stupid powerful. I mean, they get so many powerful addons to their attacks.
Just curious though. Why level 18? The Master of the Hunt is a CR 22 creature (if you're talking about the one in the MMV). The hounds are CR 18, and he starts with two of them.
Also, for other the other players. What classes were you planning on being? We'll probably want a well rounded party at least.
Edit: The only class we have so far, from what I can tell is a barbarian. So if no one else minds, I'll play an arcane caster. Trying to figure out the classes I'll be, but going for something like Elf Wizard 6/War Weaver 5/Abjurant Champion 5/Initiate of the Seven Fold Veil 2. No real reason to stay as a Wizard since they only get a bonus feat every 5 levels, so threw in some classes with low feat requirements so it's easier to get into (War Weaver and Abjurant Champion both only take one feat. Initiate takes 3 but its a cool class, so it's worth it.

Oh, cool. Good to know. I'll probably switch over to a divine caster then to make sure we have some healing/protection spells going up.
This is what I see our party so far as.
Wicksy - Barbarian Toptomcat - Wizard Rojito - Pixie Ranger Jolith - Cleric
Sounds good.

Not only am I playing a caster, but I'm playing an Initiate of the Seven Fold Veils too! Great minds think alike, eh?

It ties you up with a number of suboptimal feats. It's actually better in that respect than a lot of other full-caster progression PrCs.

Yeah, it does make you take three feats, which sucks considering a Wizard has such limited amount of feats.
Alright so I've come up with my character.
Cleric of Pelor 6/ Radiant Servant of Pelor 10 / Hierophant 2.
I'll post him later, still working a few things out.
