Remi listens to Devon as he holds the book with both hands, staring blankly at the cover of the book. After Devon is done speaking, Remi finally lifts his head sideways to look at his brother. His eyes still seemed tired, but Remi did nod, if only faintly.
He hadn't yet thought of it this way. Those others, they really were as bad as the paladin was making them out to be, weren't they? And though the fey and the tricky Sando were gone, the Farseekers hadn't done much to improve the situation for Caspian. Dear god, he must be terrified. How selfish was he to think that he was the only one who was tired!
"You're right, as always." Remi said, looking slightly more alive again, his eyes growing visibly, if only because once again tension was rising. He put back his book in the bookcase. "Let's go, Devon. After them; He can't be far!"
Remi begins his chase, hopefully following his brother Devon. If he still had the strength, he would have played a motivating tune, but he feared that any attempt at music for the remainder of the day would only prove to demoralize his friends. Remi runs toward the basement, passing the room in which Sylver and Girin most likely still are, and tells them: "We're going to help Caspian!"
