...brilliant observation. Taking you all too literally, here's what it says without all the annoying scrolling:

Ah! Sorry, I expected... nevermind. I'll be running a short like most of the others in these parts of the forum - the players choose a job, get their equipment, and then we go to kick some [bad guys] arse. In other words, we're aiming for a hack'n'slash adventure in style with the rest of the DM's shorts. Players so far: -TheZebraShakes ( Thamimon Aegimil) -Lin ( Caramip Treeboone) -Yakumo (Lobelia Strawfoot)-Japic ( Iris Swiftfoot) -Fangor ( Qillanua Yunahe)

Note to y'all:
When you choose a character, you will have to level him or her up five levels. That's right. Five. Keep it core, but if you really want something from, say, another book or such, just refer to it so that other people can back it up.
Quote from my PM to TZShakes (originally Japic's stuff, though, in case that matter):

Naturally you'll get to choose the Short this time as well - so far we have one vote on "Grave Roberts" and one vote on "Tis' great to have a giant's strength".
Also, it's okay to reply in this thread, people. It's not that I don't enjoy PMs, it's just that I'd rather have other folks see that some interest is being expressed towards this game rather than, well, not.

Gnomes are the new halfling. Don't you forget it.
I have no real opinion on which game to play. So count my vote for whichever one includes the most chances for me to slay a vile Rakshasa.

I'm going to go for starting next week - although I'd prefer more players, if there aren't anymore by Sunday night, well, obviously they can hurry in later, at least up to a certain point, that is, but the game will start next week and so - potential players, you technically have until Monday afternoon GMT if you want to play.

Yah, what he said, upgrade the PCs of your choice +5 levels and then the Short will be played. (that is only for characters that haven't been upgraded yet.)
Now somthing that he didn't include much on there is that the academy will be gifting students upon reaching 5th level. I will be handing out the special reward from them. It could be magical it could be mundane, but either way you'll get some goodies worth 1000 gp to help you along as a PC. {presents are random(ish) based upon your class.}
Another thing he missed giving is:
oh, and I'll be playing too. Halfling Monk, she could care less about which job is taken.

Check. Okay, so so far we've got an elven cleric, a gnome ranger specializing in ranged combat, a halfling wizard and a halfling monk. Technically enough for a neat adventure, although I reckon that you'd like a meatshield of some sort I'm sure you can pull through if no one else shows up before Monday.

I would like to think that the cleric is the tank of the group.
Jeez, he's in a group with three chicks all under four feet tall. That has to be an awkward sight.

In other news, I flipped a coin and the coin said Grave Roberts.
On second thought, the Thriller-reference wasn't really that funny. Ah well. Guess I'll just throw some capybara zombies at you instead - just for the heck of it.

Actually it wasn't a Thriller gag. It was a wince at the current court happenings with the white-er, um, black man on trial just now. For anyone not in the know Michael Jackson's being tried for child molestation, that's where the persons under four feet tall part came in.
I guess it sounded better for me because one of my co-workers had passed along a few jokes (very wrong jokes I might add) about him and the kids.
But Grave Robberts will be fine. I'm up for whooping whomever needs a whooping.

Honestly the Thriller-reference popped up in my mind - only I deleted the whole Thriller joke in my post because, well, it was't funny at all, and... bah, screw that. I've got more important things to spend my mental resources on.
Speaking of which - gonna sort out a few things and the thread will be up.
EDIT: Thread is up, in case you didn't notice. Still accepting character applications, but only for a while.

Sadly, Yakumo is out. Unless new players join in very quickly, you're down to three players.
