Curt will be standing facing whatever direction the beast is likely to come from. He patiently meditates searching to become One with nature. To feel the fury of the storm, the sturdyness of the earth, the whispering of the winds...

[Which direction is the noise from? Tyvek is at K-19 (assuming that's the inn, and Ni isn't referring to Nikolai Vladimirovich Zateyev)

(The sound came from the west .)
Yes, Nikolai is standing in front of the inn, aiding the villagers as they retreat into the building. Across the way is the general store, next to that is the communal stage and fire pit and the cluster of four buildings to the southeast are residences.
Harder lines represent elevated platforms with a drop of 5'. Attacking down at an enemy from a height of at least 5' above their occupied space(s) gives you a circumstance bonus (+1 Att, +1AC v. melee). For example, a giant would require you be on a roof and not just a raised firepit to receive the bonus.
The thick lines of the buildings represent walls.
(Please give me a specific space for your characters [like K-19] so that I can update the map accordingly.)

Curt will be standing at G13.
Staring outward from the village Curt summons his focus, searching for the beast. Right before the beast appears Curt scans the village to find out where everyone stands, both villagers and friends.

Brim had been returning to his compatriots to share his meager findings when all hell broke loose. Knowing this must surely be an attack by the beast, Brim takes to his covert roots, stalking off to the shadows to let Curt intervene with the beast head-on while he can skulk around behind it. He settled down by one of the buildings, keeping quiet and as out of sight as he can manage. He is unlikely to avoid a dragon's immense sense of perception, but perhaps he can appear an unfavorable target.
He keeps his blade ready and plays defensive.(At H7, around the corner of the building, if possible. And again, sorry for being gone so much! I hate to be slowing things down, but my time has been less than I'd like it to be )

As the touched ones indulged in more inquiry about their surroundings, Eresh kept silent. Generally, when Coppertop, who is quite adept at inquiry, was doing the talking, it was not needed to interfere.
As Brim went out to search the area with the Alexei fellow, he decided to stay and listen more. After many boring moments of the village-leader stating the obvious, Eresh was not sure that his was the better decision. He thought about getting out and finding Brim, when the thunderous clash boomed in their ears.
He almost chuckled. It was been some weeks since they had encountered anything close to a real challenge. The sorcerors's heart fluttered with a mix of fear and excitement, and his fingertips tingled with the anticipation of unleashing force.
"By fire and ash!" he muttered to himself, and rushed outside after his companions.
---------------------------------
- Eresh has always Mage Armor active, which he casts upon himself before rest and is active for nearly a day (11 h). - He has Dispel Magic on his Ring of Counterspells for the time being. - He stands at O-17, between two buildings and waits for the enemy to appear.

Initiative Order: Gargoyles, Brim, Tyvek, Eresh, Curt, Coppertop, NPCs MusicGa = Gargoyle Berserker PCsBrimstone 75/75 Coppertop 75/75 Curt 90/99 Ereshkigal 56/56 Tyvek 68/68; Glyphe 54/54 The night sky erupts in a flutter of wings as four hideous creatures descend upon the town. They are vaguely humanoid, with bat-like wings and grey pebbly skin that resembles stone. Alexei lowers his bow in confusion, "What in the world are those?!" The ranger's baffled state makes it clear this was NOT what he was expecting.
Three of the creatures lunge at Curt, the largest and closest target, while the fourth notices the overwhelming body odor of troglodyte Tyvek atop the inn and assaults the mage using its nose as a guide. They are foaming at the mouth, clearly consumed by rage and bloodlust.
Curt's foes each claw at the half giant, but the large monk deftly avoids two of the attacks. The third scrapes his skin, blood trickling down his arm. [Curt takes 9 damage. Please roll for your attack of opportunity.]
Tyvek's invisibility allows him to easily deflect the incoming blow as well. A quick analysis of his assailant tells Tyvek these creatures are gargoyles. Resistant to non-magical weapons and capable of delivering a flurry of blows from their claws, fangs, and horns, the elf realizes this battle will greatly intensify with the next round of assaults. (Note: I rolled the gargoyles' attacks a few days ago, but I am currently home in CA and don't have access to dice. If you've got 'em, please roll 'em.)

No, but they can smell you. I modified the post to represent this. One drawback of taking the form of a troglodyte, great AC but you stink to high heaven.

One drawback of taking the form of a troglodyte, great AC but you stink to high heaven. (troglodyte stench is an extraordinary ability - alter self can't copy it) Unseen, unbreathing, and implacable Glyphe approaches the creature as it flails to find a target and strikes down with both hands upon it's spine. Full power attack slam, flanking, invisible (no dex bonus) [dice=20]+15 to hit [dice=4]+25 damage Bludgeoning, magic As the creature falls to it's knees Tyvek glides silently away, casting out his hand and sending glittering bolts of energy into his assailant before circling away behind Glyphe. 5' move out of combat, magic missile, 'phantom steed' move action behind Glyphe. [dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4]+5 force damage Flanked by his construct, Tyvek takes a moment to survey the situation in the market below.[rand=826950291543983133684207135648397862373253961276330139126233282]

Ereshkigal is taken aback, for the flying monstrosities were not what he was expecting to gaze upon. For all he learned, gargoyles were artificially created beings which were kept guarding temples of evil and the occasional wizard tower. But then, it really did not matter, as his reaction at an incoming foe never differed. Initially, he raised his hands to conjure raw force to smite the one attacking Tyvek, but changed his mind quickly as he heard the sound of stone cracking under the claw's of the elf's bizarre guardian. "Which is not more bizarre than he himself," he thought, gleefully. With this change of mind, he turned his attention away from the elf who was very capable of defending himself. Taking a step closer to the open, he saw their less lucky friend tied into combat with the rest of their attackers. Curt was standing like a tower at the face of three more gargoyles rabidly clawing at his flesh. "Curt, I get the left one!" he shouted.Without further thinking, the sorceror procured a polished rod of ordinary looking glass from his surcingle, and streched his hand to produce rays of pure heat at one of the gargoyles. Three hissing jets of materialized heat arc down on the creature, penetrating through its body of rock.1 - 5-ft step @ N-16 2 - Cast Maximized Scorching Ray through Lesser Metamagic Rod of Maximize, using Metamagic Specialist. All three rays at the gargoyle @ F-14. Rolls for touch attack are as below.
[dice=20]+10 [dice=20]+10 [dice=20]+10
If all three hits, and there is no SR, the gargoyle gets hit for 72 fire damage. [rand=6830691283869024646207995854286828008355781152168094720513071603]
