a similar Life Announcement

Seeing KMan update his life announcement made me wonder if anyone might be interested in mine.

I am not sure how many of you know that I work at a bonsai nursery set up origianlly by my father 30 years ago? probably not many as I haven't posted in the new getting to know you section.

Anyway my brother and I have at last bought the business and been running it as our own since the 1st. A bit of promotion, a sale on some old stuff and the production of loads of new trees and by the 10th of september we had already taken more then we took for the whole month the last two years.

I know to most of you it is an odd industry you are unfamiliar with but there you go.

Whoah! Nice work man Good to hear there are still businesses doing well in this supposed credit crunch.....i worried about my job stability for a few days until i saw the number of samples coming in. We are too busy now

That sounds like a great business. I wish I could do something like that. Maybe not a tree nursery, maybe a turtle nursery. Not sure if turtles bring in the big bucks though.

Probably you'd end up, after nursing them all their little lives, wanting to keep the turtles so bad you wouldn't sell them anymore. Unless it's like a turtle day-care or something, for people to bring their turtles when they're out.
