Progress Quest

Has anyone here ever heard of Progress Quest? It's a game, similar in nature to the everpresent EverCrack, in which you create a character, and it goes adventuring, killing stuff, making money, gathering treasure. It's actually quite simple to play.

Ok, to be honest with you, all you have to do is make your guy, and the game (when loaded) just runs and runs. You can look in from time to time, or sit and watch as your character kills monsters and sells loot. As simple as the game is, it can be fun to start characters at the same time, and compare and contrast with your firends. It ws going around my office for a while, and everyone would compare standings and try to be furthest along on the quest. You should check it out. It's just something kinda fun. I'm going to download the program and start adventuring today. Anyone else going with?

well.. to be honest... you and I don't do much together, but if you go to the multiplayer world, I picked Oobag for my world, create a character... it'll start questing... At that point we can check on each others stats at progressquest.com/oobag.php? Just search for characters in the field below, and it'll tell you stats for the character. It's mostly just for bragging rights. We have no real control.

My character is called Xu Man Gru. He is a brand new character set up just now.

the best way to describe it, would be you are on a hack and slash adventure that will never end. You are assigned quests, like 'fetch me a ladder' and the guy goes out and kills things. After X many things die the quest is over and you get something for it, maybe a new weapon, maybe a new spell, maybe a cool item that you sell for money. It's all text based and pretty silly. Fun, but silly.
