ooc: Doran is at 7 of 30--meaning 8 points of "bloodied", and 15 after that. His surge is 7, so if he can get 8 points from the tide and an 8 point boost from a healing word after that, he could get by with only using one surge. If not, I'll use two surges. Doran picks up the silver without making any effort to hide it. He'd like to have it himself, but its not worth the trouble it would cause if someone makes a big deal about it. He will, however, turn the healing potion over to whoever heals him. Otherwise, Doran is down 3 shuriken, and one healing surge, and has used his second wind.

Howahkan will loot bodies, ahem, I mean safely secure their belongings for their after life. Hey, Doran is the rouge, here.

Howahkan joins Doran in inspecting the bodies, to find that Doran already has most of their money pouches...
OOC: Just a note for those new to the system that in 4th edition, recovered gear sales for at best 1/5 of new value. It's usually not worth hauling out.

Using my previous roll, Howahkan heals Doran for a total of 13 after the Tide leaving him 2 pts short. "You still have a few bruises left Doran, will you be alright?" Howahkan accepts the healing potion and stores it in his backpack.

Howahkan accepts the healing potion and stores it in his backpack. "I've lived with worse. Nice having a healer around, though." (ooc: by the way, Doran is walking around with some ten daggers strapped to him or hidden away in his cloths--and he is not above picking up a few off dead bodies for personal use if they are serviceable.)

Bharash is in the rat cage staring at the ceiling (just in case the message about him finding something got lost).

Gabe also walks into the old storeroom and looks up, "I wonder what that was used for, it's not very big but it could have been used to drop supplies in when this was a storeroom. Anyone else have ideas?"
Gabe will go through the crates and check what is in them and then if someone want's to check the hole he'll pull a few of the most study looking crates beneath the hole so it's easier to climb up.

The group finds that the boxes used to contain varius trade goods. But time and rats have destroyed the contents and weakened the boxes. The boxes are mostly intact, but wouldn't support anyones weight. The exception was a small sturdy box of iron ingots. It takes two strong men to break the box free of the floor or to carry it, but a single person can shift it precisly into position under the hole. It is only 1 foot high, leaving 9 feet to reach the edge of the hole. From below it can be seen that the hole opens up and is not just a tunnel.

Howahkan will stand on the ingot box and put his hands together to form a foothold. Looking towards Gabe he says "Come on, I'll boost up there."

Thursagan offers a better idea. Placing his shield over his head and planting both feet firmly on the ground, he says: "This will be as solid as the ground you are in, or I will have to shave my beard!"
OOC: Really late for the search, but he was looking for any weapon or piece of armor of some quality.

All of the goblins weapons and armor were serviceable, but have not been well maintained and were not of good quality.
Following up with Thursagan making himself into a pedestal, Harknail exchanged his sword for a hand, then grabbing the shield on opposite sides, added his strength to that of the dwarf to support whoever climbed up. Between Dwarven stoicism and Warforged might, Thursagan's shield was as solid of a platform as one could ask for. And it was high enough for someone tall to easily reach the hole.

Bharash casts a light spell on a rock and wraps it in a cloth. He'll hand it to whoever is going up so that they can uncover it as necessary depending on if it is safe.

The Ranger secures his bow and approaches Bharash to claim the stone. "I'll go", he says to his friends. "But keep still or at least try and catch me if I fall" he continues with a smile. He makes his way over to Thursagan and Harknail. OOC: Athletics check if needed:[rand=629342206325345926325720613963044703081945284437131705567085454245]

Gabe stands on the other side of the shield from Sanem, "I'll follow as soon as you clear the hole"Athletics Check [rand=653929718920054133304656178481758683251420202559555803469157579]

Sanem climbs up on Thursagan's shield. The others can see him straining, but he makes no complaint and holds the shield up. When Sanem pokes his head up into the hole (with one hand gripping the edge to steady himself), the upper chamber is dark. Even with his low light vision, he can't make out much from the light coming up from below. But he can tell that it's a roughly spherical chamber, about 4 feet in diameter. Most of the bottom is missing, that being the hole that he's stuck his head into.
Turning around to check all sides before exposing a light, he sees something unusual. There is a light, very dim, less than that of a candle, lighting a small area of the chamber. The light varies in color and the colors shift continuously. Sanem can't see the light directly, there is something unseen between him and the source of the light.
Having determined that it was safe to use a light, Sanem unwraps the stone that Bharash gave him. With the glowing stone exposed, Sanem can no longer see the colored light, but he can see what is between him and it's source. A dagger, still bright and shiny after all these years, had it's tip driving into the stone by perhaps an inch with the flat of the blade facing Sanem. It looked like a fine blade with a fuller (a shallow channel) running the length of the blade.
OOC: Tag Sanem (or anyone else)
OOC2: At this point I'm assuming everyone is either in the rat room or nearby watching the corridor.
OOC3: When making your OOC comments green, use LimeGreen (at the bottom of the list). It's lighter and easier to read than Green.

"There is dagger driven into the floor up here. I don't like the look of it...", Sanem says to the party below. "Not much room..." he examines the dagger as best he can, holding the glowing stone as close to it as possible.
OOC: If it looks safe, Sanem will try to get a little closer to the light source. I suppose it is too small of a chamber to actually get into it fully.8

OOC: The chamber is an air bubble in the stone 4' across that was exposed when the room below was carved out. It's very smooth for unworked stone. There isn't much left of the bottom, just a 1 foot rim of slope that go from steep to vertical. It would be very difficult to get into the chamber without falling out immediately.
OOC: The dagger is easily within reach, being only about 6 inches from the hole. The light source is on the other side of the dagger. It would be easy to reach either the dagger or whatever is on the other side of it, just hard to get his head at an angle to see it. With an acrobatics or athletics roll of DC 20 Sanem can lift himself up and over enough to see over the dagger. He'll need an athletics roll of DC 15 to get more than a brief glimpse (he'll be pressing against a somewhat slick surface, using mostly brute strength to keep his hand from slipping though the hole). And finally he'll need an acrobatics roll of DC 15 when he does come back down to land on his feet either squarely on the shield or on the floor (his choice).

Sanem strains hard to push himself up high enough to catch a better glimpse of what is beyond the dagger. Acrobatics check (DC 20): Athletic check (DC 15): [rand=60114507420793842206577307921001660671348899538393066120138883185]
