Gabe calls, "Don't give it a chance to pull any new tricks" as he charges down the corridor to stab at the Goblin through the portcullis. Moves to G10 then Charges to G12 Melee Basic Attack at Goblin Red 6 with his Glaive (reach)[dice=20] | 13+5+2(prone)-2(partial cover)+1(charge) = 19 vs AC |

Doran will move from H5 to H11, and use a Deft Strike to move another two squares to H13, where he has combat advantage on the prone goblin. Sneak Attack! [dice=20]+8[dice=4]+5[dice=6][dice=6]+2 Hit AC 24 (before the modifiers for the portcullis and combat advantage) for 22 damage. OOC: I'd be rather surprised if that Goblin is still alive after that but in case it is just ignore the following as it'll happen later and I'll edit it out of this post.
Gabe grins "Deftly done there Doran", looking around and taking in the state of the party he adds "Well handled everyone, Time for a rest now, lets move back to the open area for and get som bandage on these wounds." He heads to E5 "Lets gather here, and keep a watch on those passages."
He turns to the Dwarf with a big wide smile showing a mouthful of pointy teeth, "Greetings and thanks stranger, I'm Gabullifax but call me Gabe. "
Unless anyone has any objections to resting here he'll also organise to drag the goblin corpses so they are out of sight, possibly in that small area around K8. He's not going to worry about the blood stains but he does want to make sure someone is watching the passages coming here. If Gabe has already met Howahkan he'll greet him otherwise he'll introduce himself to him as well.
OOC: Out of Combat Healing - further to my previous questions about encounter powers. Now that we have Howahkan with Melora's tide which grants regeneration we can save a lot of healing surges.
So unless someone else has a healing ability that I'm not aware of these are our parties healing capabilities:
Gabe's inspiring word which gives a bonus of +1d6 to any healing surges used. Howahkan's healing word which with his healer's lore gives a bonus of +1d6+4 to any healing surges used. Howahkan's Melora’s Tide which grants regeneration 2 until the target is no longer bloodied.
Which means if we have 15 or so minutes, don't get interuppted and Howahkan is willing to tend to the wounds all members of the group can put their health at 1 point above bloodied from the regeneration (not cost in surges) and then using more of Howahkan's magic spend their healing surges (each healing their normal amount plus 1d6+4) to top up their current hit points.

"Greetings", Sanem says to the stranger. "Sanem Cosben at your service" he continues with a slight nod of the head to show his appreciation. The Elf turns towards Gabe. "A rest would suit me just fine, and I suppose this place is as good as any we might find down here".

OOC: The goblin is indeed dead. Since none of the goblins got away to warn others, the group has as much time as they would like (within reason, more goblins will come eventually).
When directed to drag the goblins to the small room, Harknail responds "As thee wish", and then gets busy. In order to retrieve the last goblin, Harknail needs to raise the portcullis. Not being a mindless automaton, he chooses to use the crank (F13) visible though the open door. It took two goblins to turn the crank, but Harknail is strong enough to do it alone (though that does not count as rest). He does raise the portcullis all the way since he's not in a rush. When he retrieves the last goblin, he notices that the passage does not continue and reports that to the group with, "There be no passage past the portcullis, it just be a caged room."
OOC: From what the group can see, the HI passage appears to be same as the GH passage on the map, but with a portcullis that's askew partway down.
OOC: I'll assume that Howahkan is willing to heal people with maximum efficiency.

Thursagan replies to Gabe: "Greetings, Gabe. These are difficult times, and our strength relies on our ability to help each other in times of need. What brought your group to these caves?"
OOC: I won't be able to connect as often this week, probably once a day during the week and none of weekend, until February 7th.

Doran- "Heh, the worm had it coming. *Crude cursing under breath about pain* Who's got the bandages? I think most of the blood on me is mine." Not much, but Doran probably wouldn't be saying anything if he wasn't in such bad shape. Meanwhile, he's looking for any shiny loot the goblins might have had. Dorans not above plucking off brass buttons if it comes to that.

Short recap for newcomers and to help everyone figure out how the characters relate:
First group was in the inn when zombies attacked. Ended up at light house fighting goblins. Game died there.
Rebooted with Bharash following the goblins and the rest of the group (including Howahkan) fighting off a swarm of zombies.
On the water Bharash meets with the rest of the current group (shipwrecked adventurers and a recently freed relic) and follow the goblins into their lair.
Off camera: Most of the original group perish fighting the zombies, the dwarf Thursagan cam by just in time to save Howahkan. After saving the town from the second (and larger) wave of zombies, the two follow Bharash, following the goblins. Once inside the cave, they could hear the signs of a fight. They rushed towards it, Howahkan being slightly behind because he paused to secure their boat.
On camera again: Thursagan just at the end of the fight, while Howahkan just missed getting a shot at the last goblin. The fight is over, but Bharash is injured and most of Bharash's new friends are in bad shape. Gabe who appears to be the leader decides that they have enough time to use their healing with maximum efficiency.
Currently: Having just finished a difficult fight, the group is now resting and presumably examining the immediate area. If anyone would like to look around, just post what you're looking at or for.

OOC: Hi, I am Ron from DND4.com. I will be playing Howahkan the cleric. It may take me a little while to get up to speed. What classes is everyone playing?
Edit: Sorry, I just remembered that Harknail had given me the party list.

OOC: thanks for the excellent summary Hark. crysun the character sheets can be found at www.kmansadventures.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=shortscharactersIC: With the last goblin down Bharash goes over to see how Howahkan is. "You did well to make it through that horde friend, I am impressed. Well done on bringing aid too. With this many people trying to help we have a good chance to succeed." When healing is offered Bharash waves it away. "It is just a scratch. I will be fine for now" Turnig to the Tiefling "So, Gabe isn't it? what do you think? should we assume these goblins have delayed us enough if the sorcerer with the lense is still running that we will not catch him just by rushing through. As we have a few injured who need a rest I think we will have to resort to looking for clues at a slower pace." Bharash will take a brief rest. Some of the magic he used was a bit tiring. But then as the cleric tends to Doran and the construct (Bharash was not even sure how trying to heal a construct worked) Bharash decides he might as well make start looking round the dead end the goblin was running into. Bharash is looking for clues, useful items, signs of passage, anamolous details and magic.

Gabe nods at Bharash "While I'd prefer not to give any more time to prepare, chasing them in our current state would be courting danger for little gain, as you say let's rest and look for any clues"[/i] OOC: Lense? Should Gabe know what you are talking about? I'm just realising I have no idea why we are chasing these Goblins down. ;D"Howahkan, thank you, but please see to Doran and Harknail first, my wounds can wait till then"[/i], he then gives his weapon a rough wipe using whatever rag of the goblin's seems cleanest. Howahkan's Healing Word
[dice=6] | 4+5(Surge Value)+4(Healing Word)=13 Uses one of Gabe's Healing Surges |
Gabe's Health: Was HP 13 of 22 / Now HP 22 of 22 - Surges 6 of 7 Once everyone is healthy or as healthy as they want to be he'll help searching the Goblins and the rooms focusing on their supplies and the table looking for anything that might indicate who else has been here or what they have been up to, "Let's find out what these Goblins have been up to."OOC: How do you want to handle skill rolls for searching? Should we roll them in advance? Also I'm presuming Gabe had all his surges left. please let me know if that is not the case. (Removed my rather poor and unneeded perception roll from the post) [rand=52439199900834187137076166578599613098557359247346257973103589056]

Doran searches the goblin themselves for anything shiny. That leaves out their swords, which are kind of rusty. But he does find coin purses with silver pieces, about 100 total. Also one of the goblins had a potion of healing. It was one of the goblins that went from healthy to dead very quickly, which is why it was never used. Bharash checked out the room that the last goblin had ran into. This was obviously where the rats had come from, and Bharash had to be careful where he put his feet. But before that it had been a store room, and there were still crates lining the walls. The crates had all had been gnawed on, but they might still contain something valuable. Bharash was poking into them with the end of his staff when shifting shadows caused him to look at the ceiling. There, 10 feet above the floor, was a hole in the ceiling about 2 feet across. OOC: How do you want to handle skill rolls for searching? Should we roll them in advance? If so please find my roll below otherwise ignore. Also I'm presuming Gabe had all his surges left. please let me know if that is not the case. OOC: I can roll the skill rolls, just need to know that someone is looking and what they're looking at or for. That way you'll won't know (except by description) if you should keep searching an area or not. As for the surges, I think Gabe had all his surges left (not sure). The two newcomers will have used some surges in the off camera fight.
OOC: Sorry, this fight was tougher than what I had in mind for this stage. I'm still learning what characters can and can't do.

Sanem casually examines the immediate surroundings. He focuses his attention on the main chamber but leaves the dead Goblins to be searched by the others. Perception check: [rand=039060056980873679465597808867429147256395248569266531881588839974]

Howahkan gives his other Healing Word to either Doran or Harknail (whoever is worst). [dice=6]+surge value +4 [rand=191150809663087065072869907134697791911756716106915472915035077028]

OOC: We are out of combat now Crysun so effectively you can use your Healing Word and Melora's Tide as often as needed (officially twice per Healing Word and once per Tide per five minutes but since we'll be here for at least 15-20 minutes that's enough for everyone I think) Hope you don't mind me rolling or presuming the use of your power on Gabe, just to move things along a bit quicker when outside combat.

OOC: At this point we're in the after the fight stage. That's the same as any other version of D&D... Loot the bodies and look around for anything else to loot....
