It seems there are a fair share of students on the board so I though any who are interested could share their finals war stories. Yesterday was my last day of finals and three of the four finals I had were the type that could make or break you grade. The hardest of the bunch was a two part final lab and lecture on the same day. The two tests alone would have been tough but put together they were the hardest exams I have ever had. I ran in to my proph and he had the lab portion graded already. He showed me the exam and I had an 82 out of 100 tied for second highest in the class. To give some scope the highest was a 90 and the lowest I saw (don’t tell) was a 65 and he said it went down from their. So all in all I felt really good about how I did. Will see how the rest went when I get my final grades.

I'm short for final stories right now, but I took the SAT II's in my bathrobe. It was the night after Halloween (I think) and I'd gotten back from TP'ing my psychology teacher (I've heard the Wicked Witch of the West was based off of her. I don't believe it---they just filmed her and that was it!). So I woke up in my pajamas Saturday morning way too tired, and dragged myself out of bed. I was going to be late if I did anything but get some breakfast, so I put on my bathrobe, grabbed some muffins, and drove to school. No one could believe my attire, but they sort of didn't mention it. I got a 1600 on the SAT I, so I think they just figured that whatever I was doing was probably OK.
It was great! I've now entered a New Era of what I call "comfort testing." I found that most teachers might look at you weird at first, but that they won't really care if you bring your own stuff in for tests. Now on test days, I bring a small, fold-up camp stool to put up my feet while I'm testing. The other day, I brought in cookies for a Calculus test. It was great!

Want a finals story? How about this one:
Wizard has gone skiing. During finals week. Instead of finals week. I'm as scared as you are.

Lucky him. Now I'm off to take my drama final, which consists of me standing around for two hours, then going home.

Wizard, Jevva, and I are in high school still. Finals are differently scheduled. And I think that I passed the drama final today, which consisted of watching a movie.

Yeah, those drama finals are pretty darn hard. Which reminds me of a GREAT story. Thrawn and I had Drama II together two years ago. The class (which was a mix of Drama II, III, and IV students) put on a play called The Museum. The whole play takes place in an exhibit room of a museum. All well and good, right? Anyway, it's in the script of the play that three paintings in particular stand out--- Landscape II, Seascape XXI, and Starscape IV. Except that all of these paintings (created by the famous and fictional artist Zachary Moe---these paintings are referred to as "The Moes" ) are completely blank. Stark white. So as we're sitting in a circle on the cold, hard, cement floor (drama thing), we're going around picking jobs for set creation. Thrawn and I facetiously volunteer to paint the Moes. The class gets it, and laughs. But Mrs. Boero doesn't. She actually looks at us with a straight face, and says, "Alright, I'll get you the materials soon." Now, at this point, everyone in the class (thrawn and I most of all) are just staring at each other incredulously. But she didn't burst out laughing, so we figured she was serious. And that's how thrawn and I ended up in his garage, painting white canvasses with whitewash. I thought we did a pretty good job---we tried to add a pattern reminiscent of mountains to the Landscape, waves to Seascape, and random lines shooting everywhere for Starscape. Our magnificent artwork was somewhat hampered by the fact that you only noticed it from about three inches away, however. And I have Peer Tutoring(the class in which I usually post here) 4th period, so I didn't have to go. And the skiing was great.

Just smacked the government final and just got smacked by the physics final. Who knew those mass-M acceleration problems were so vicious? Oh well, maybe Jevva will have better luck. I think I set a new record today. I usually finish the gov tests early, (VERY easy class---it's ALL in the teacher) but today I think I surpassed myself. A 2-hour final compressed into 12:55. Not bad, huh? Like anyone cares about a freaking government test. But the class seemed to. Lots of oohs and aaahs when I walked up and turned the test in an hour and a half early. I AM NOT A FREAKING SCORE, PEOPLE! I AM NOT A 1600 SAT OR A 35 ACT! I AM A PERSON! [/rant]
