12-23-03 Got the soundtrack of The Matrix in the mail yesterday. I'm listening to it now. I'm gonna splice some of the music into my movie. The soundtrack flat-out rocks.
Also, shot the Oracle scene yesterday. Worked out very well. Friar looked hilarious in wig and apron.

Hence the wooden leg comment...actually what I can't get ordered from bizarre ass countries like finland or japan...I download.
I do have a few hundred CD's of music like the matrix though..techno and industrial is my type of tunes.

[glow=red,2,300]AAGHGAHGHAHAHGHAGHGHAGHAHGAAHGAHGAHHGHGHAHAHGGAHHGA![/glow]I found out this morning that movies are disallowed from the contest this year. Of course, they didn't tell anyone this until after winter break, which certain people spent ALL OF making movies... Any ideas for an act? In two days? OMG.....

Wiz...
Relax maynard.
In the short tenure of role-playing with you thus far, you seem like an intelligent kid with a good head on your shoulders.
I'm sure you'll pull something out and it'll be great.
Let us know if you need help.

I'm with KMan here. You can pull it off.
Can you play the oboe? That would be impressive under water. ;D
Seriously though, good luck man. Oh yeah, does this mean that we'll never see your movie? you promised to show it off.

Well. Perhaps I overreacted a bit. (thinks for a second, then shakes his head) Nope, I didn't. Luckily, though, my cousin (who's also in this, and also doing a movie) talked the guy into allowing movies if we pony up the cash to rent the projector screen. Like I cared. I've got 500 bucks earmarked for this thing. 30's gonna stop me? Playing the oboe above water is an impressive feat. I don't think I could play a kazoo underwater... And yes, the movie will arrive. I got snowed in in the Sierra's, so I couldn't film during break. But Agent Smith is coming over tomorrow afternoon to choreograph the ENTIRE fight scene in six hours, so with a rush schedule, we'll make it by Thursday. You will indeed to get to see a premiere of "Best Motion Picture of the 21st Century!" ----- Bert and Ernie-----No, I coulndn't even get THEM to comment on it...we'll see.So it's all OK. FALSE ALARM, PEOPLE...MOVE ALONG...YOU CAN GO ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS...NOTHING TO SEE HERE... (whew!)

I'm sitting here with Agent Smith.
Well, maybe not the real Agent Smith, but it's not like Hugo Weaving was legit either. We're currently choreographing the fight scene.
Auditions tomorrow at 7:05! Ack!

1/7/03 Did the auditions. Made three mistakes, but I don't think they were noticed.
Teacher in charge of the whole thing is a Nazi. Errg.

Auditions for the contest, or something else? I don't see how you can audition to get a movie on stage... I would see that audition as showing hte film... and then, how do you make a mistake? I'm so confused...

Sorry, I wasn't too clear. The auditions were for the contest. I'm not sure it will matter, as a bunch of people didn't show up, so they may simply take everyone.
We performed the fight scene we choreographed last night, but that's not what we'll perform on Saturday when we perform it.
We've decided to duplicate bulletime by holding motionless while the cameraman slowwwly moves the camera around us. Then we'll speed it up while we're editing. The fast-forward should eliminate any discontinuity problems that come from us breathing or whatever.

[glow=red,2,300] YES!!!!!![/glow] From the brink of destruction to salvation-----The guy who was going to help edit it had his computer fail. For the last 48 hours, I've been seriously considering bowing out. BUT I'M NOT!My mom found a guy who helps students out with this sort of stuff. Only 25 bucks an hour! More tomorrow. I have to go edit!

UGGHGHGH........
It is now 4:08 AM, local time. I've been editing that freaking 5-minute movie for the last eight hours.
And it didn't have everything I wanted. It didn't have bulletime (not enough time), it didn't have us jumping from roof to roof (did you know green screens have to be green?), and it didn't even have me walking on a wall(harder than I thought to edit the rope out).
But you know what? It doesn't matter! The guy did a darn fine job, and the tape is ready.
PM me if you'd like a copy.

Oh---I almost forgot. The last few lines of credits? They go like this: How does it feel to be in a major (sort of) motion picture, everyone?
