We had a cool hobbies post going a while back and since we've got some new residence here I thought we should start something up again.
Lets see my real name's John. I'm 24 and live in Colorado
Our table top Group gets togather every 2 weeks or so for a "Kman Innovation" game. 3rd edition (monster campaign)
I keep threatening to start a D20 Modern spy/ secret Government game. So far it's on track 2013...
Outside of roleplaying I pretty much just act as a corporate slave and work on my volkswagens (a 55 chop top, and a '58 Kombi) when time and money permit.
Oh I like to Cook to. It dosen't really matter what as long as I'm cooking.
What about everyone else?
Feel free to give as much or as little info as you want, it's not like we're big brother here.
Just trying to spark some conversation and avoid doing real work ;D
All you lurkers are welcome to post too!

Yup, that sounds like John alright. Slacking off AGAIN. My real name is Jacob, and I am also 24 living in CO. As you've probably noticed I am part of KMan's Table Top group. I've been playing on and off with them for about 5 or 6 years now. My hobbies still include my renaissance group, conveniently located at www.mottistone.net. The site is currently under lots of construction, and should be finished when our admin gets a little time. One of my favorite things about this group is that I have the opportunity to sword fight. Usually we use shenai, bamboo swords traditionally used in Kendo fighting. But some of us also use fencing foils, rapiers, sabres and what we refer to as 'live steel'. Basically they are heavy guage steel weapons that can take alot of abuse and keep going. One of the brands that I favor is www.starfireswords.com, they come with a great warrantee and are really fun to fight with. Well, enough about me, whose next?

Well, what kind of DM would I be if I didn't support the effort to slack off at work. *Move to the Center of the room with a single candle held before him* My name is Kyle, and I'm addicted to KMan's Adventures. I'm 24, I also live in Colorado (Notice a trend here people?) I usually run a table-top Role-playing campaign of some kind that gather as often as it can. My real passion of late (like the last 5 years) has been writing, in case it hasn't been obvious to anyone lurking around these boards. Someday I hope to have the opportunity to make a profession out of it. I have a few projects that I hope to someday be able to publish in one medium or another, and I've got a few people working with my on those dreams. These boards have given me the chance to do something I love 24-7 and I don't see any sign of giving it up. Currently I work in a cubicle pod, just like the rest of my corporate borg-like brethren. I love sarcasm, debate and brainstorming...hey, maybe that's why I GM. (That or the fact that no one else will take this thankless job from me. )I like cars, specifically the ones that go faster than everyone elses. I like reading...when I'm not playing the latest RPG on PS2 or the Cube. Umm...that's about all I have to share right now...more may pop out depending on the popularity of this thead.

My name is Shane, I’m 25 (26 in three weeks) also in Colorado Right now my life is mostly school. Trying for a BS in Biology with a minor in Secondary education. I get together with the others on the board and have been friends with most for a long time. My other hobbies currently are working on my 98’ TJ sport, (some where there is a picture) and rock climbing. I don’t clam to be nearly as creative with my writing as K-Man but to be fare most of my writing has been technical work (If any one is interested in my defense of evolution against creationism feel free to ask) .

I'm tempted to ask, Merv, b/c I'm hardcore LDS. But I don't think we should get the boards near there. My real name is Daniel, I'm not 24, and I don't live in Denver. I'm 17, live in Moraga, CA, and am finishing senior year with thrawn and Jevva. Been RP'ing on and off for 7 years, but didn't start playing D&D 'til 5 years ago. Kman, I regret to inform you that my first character was a human ranger named...wait for it..."Farathir." Fortunately, thrawn can't manage to get through LotR without being bored to death, so he passed. I spend way too much time on the boards, but I run cross-country, play volleyball, and play basketball, all competitively. In the summer I swim---I'm not a "swimmer," so to speak (can't really swim that fast), but I like it as exercise. I just got rejected from being a Finalist in the National Merit thing, so if I end up in Denver, it won't be for free. I'm a Boy Scout, and am in a rush to grab my Eagle before next November. I'm sitting here in a tuxedo typing this, b/c my school is holding a contest called Mr. GQ--basically a guy's beauty pageant, but more focused on on all the stats instead of just Cha. Don't get me wrong, Cha is the biggest part, but the other stats have a chance to figure. My talent tonight will be a video, the script of which is on these boards, and last year it was underwater piano-playing. Seriously. Which reminds me, I like Homestar, but only check it out once a month or so. I regret that I will be absent from these boards (probably) for two years, starting about two years from now. I'll be going on a mission for my church, and I don't think I'll be able to post. I got a 1600 SAT, and flipped coins on the PSAT when I was unsure. It almost got me a full ride to a bunch of schools. Never underestimate a coin... I'm not sure what else I can say...I share birthdays with John McCarthy, Claude Monet, and King Hussein. I'm a Scorpio. I was born in the Year of the Tiger. I don't think any of the above three sentences holds any significance.

Hullo. My name's Peter, I'm 19, and I live in Northern Virginia, just about in DC. So I get to be the East Coast representation, it seems. I've been roleplaying in one form or another for about 8 or 9 years, mostly online freeform and 'real life' table top on the weekends. I currently game with two groups, one on Friday, one on Saturday - This works out pretty sweet, because one group is into mechanics and mostly hack&slash, while the other group is keen on some rule-bending, and big on roleplaying-over-rollplaying. So I get both sides of the equation. My favorite rpg is Call of Cthulhu, but others I play include White Wolf variants, Ars Magica, D&D (particularly Dragonlance), Champions, and Conspiracy X. I'm always open to new games, often so much it's to my detriment. I love creating characters, creating backgrounds, planning character progression (both mechanically and pschologically), etc. I GM a lot, as you might imagine, but I limit myself to mostly CofC. I do a fair bit of writing and reading in my spare time, but I'm not as serious as KMan in regards to it. I don't play many sports, but I stay in shape through constant activity in one form another (typically my job, and some sparse working out). But when I did play sports, it was soccer when I was young, a little football when I got older, and wrestling throughout for a solid 10 years. I tried cross country one year, but the shin splints (I think that was the term) never left me, so I soon left that athletic field. I like games, video and board, but mostly the former. The sad part is I'm only mildly good at most games, so I often don't get terribly deep into them. Very fun, though. Like I said, I read lots of books, but I guess most of my time is spent roleplaying in one manner or another. I'm sad and pathetic. I work as a courier and desk-worker for the Department of Justice in DC. So I do a hell of a lot of walking, but when I'm not out delivering stuff, I'm here at my computer, pretending to work. I'm an Aries, but I was born in the year of the Rat. I don't know who I share birthdays with, so whatever. But I don't really care, either.

So if he was a stonechild...would be the "Farathir of Modern Rock"? {That's what you get for being a Tolkein-ite. } Probably not my place to mention, but both Merv and BluSpecs are Eagle Scouts...I was too busy writing theories on Quantum mechanics to worry about basket-weaving...that or I never had a dad to get me into it. Ok, dude...I don't plan for next week, let alone two years. And don't worry about it...if you're still around by that time, you'll probably want a break anyway. I would love to hear some stories Udjat...we have a couple of threads floating around about GMing.

I'm also here at my computer, pretending to work. I love to skimboard. I've read WAY too many Star Wars books. I also play tennis, , cross-country, volleyball, and basketball. I coach basketball and volleyball. I referee basketball. I announce basketball. I've a crush on a basketball player...notice a trend? I'm on a game show... Quiz Kids. I really hope none of you have heard of it, because it would mean you're undead----who else could watch that show and not die of boredom? I think I've covered all my activities now---oh wait, I'm an orange belt in karate.
