I'm doing a request for a guy. He wanted something like a demonic knight. I just want some feedback. --> Click me!I know he look kinda barbaric, but it's only a sketch. If anybody have ideas for improvment, I'll be glad to hear them.  |

Now I'm no expert, but his legs look awfully funny. They bend at angles they shouldn't. Other than that he looks good.

lol, damn, I'm blind  I don't even see how his legs could look broken .  .. ahhh.. Normaly I find every error on my draw, but this one don't jump in my face. But thanks anyway.. I'll try to find it. |

Actually what I think the problem that people are having is they think he should have normal legs.
There's nothing wrong with his legs Korone.
Think of his legs more like a dogs hind legs. Short thigh and calf, elongated ankle and walking on toes. If you look at it more that way, it makes perfect sense to me.
I think it's a good drawing Korone...I had no idea you drew...

In fact, many representations of demonic creatures are reverse jointed like that. Think of the Satyr. I think his legs would be something like that.
It just so happens this demon knights legs are tougher and more resemble human flesh and build, rather than a goats.
Still a good drawing.
Edit: The way I see people getting confused it right at where the knee first bends back, there is a large build of muscle there...which looks a lot like a calf. I would smooth that out more so that you don't get the impression that is where the muscle and power of the leg lies. The muscles should be more in the thigh area, above that first bend.
If you look closely at that, it's as though it really is a human leg that is stuck into the top of a pair of boots. That's probably why people are getting it confused. Take away some muscle from that area and you should be good.

I was looking at the drawing like it was a human. So if you run with that backwards jointed thing, it works. Good jub dude. Oh and KMan is UBER kinky. Careful how well you draw a 'goats' hindquarters. Just a little friendly advice. |

Just checked the rest of the art there...pretty damn good. I escpecially liked 'Marionette'. I would love to think the campaign inspired that...but it probably didn't. The only thing I would try Korone, is maybe a bit of shading. Something to add depth and distinction to the pieces. Your Carrrena piece would be stellar with more shadows and an ominous feel. Keep up the good work, turn it into a money maker for you!! |

I would love to think the campaign inspired that...but it probably didn't. You're right, I made them this summer. I know about the shading, you're not the first one who tell me that. I'm often too lazy. Mostly 1/2 of my will never be finished. So adding shading is a step that I rarely take.. Ah, I just remember it. I did a draw with shading some time ago. I found a picture on the net and simply put it on paper.. I'll scan it now. |
