Hrm... Icy Tower... Fire obsessed warlock... dragon... Dragon ate warlock for lunch?
Or warlock sought out dragon after tower encased in ice. Now works for dragon, small stepping stone on road to summoning Asmodeus.
And I wouldn't call her quite a pet! She's Sart; the Free Goblin Slave!

True, she's too helpful to be a pet. More like the Pocket Hobbit. The player who played the Halfling Thief wasn't able to make it that night. Since the GM didn't want to kill a character of a player that wasn't there, his character didn't take part in fights. But when we needed a lock picked, one of the players pulled out his "Pocket Hobbit", and the GM let the thief pick the lock. Though with a bit of training from Sanem, she'll actually start being useful in combat

LOL! Pocket Hobbit. I want one. Yay for companion characters! Wonderful rules those are, I think page32 of DMG2 is my favourite page in a D&D 4e rulebook.

Yes, I like them. I'll be promoting Sart to a companion character for the next round (the down time lets her "level up" with intense training).

She'll speak common, but not well. So those that speak Goblin will still be better able to explain complex things to her. But it won't be all the time anymore.
