Well the 4e games are running fairly regularly. Other than that, yeah, the games are pretty dead.

Things certainly do seem VERY quiet, I'll say that for sure.

I'm all for games, but seems there aren't many others trying just now.

Games do seem to hit a speed bump and then die a death. I've been tempted to run a Dark Heresy game and tie myself to a strict update schedule, but I can't write for toffee

Dark Heresy, that's the 40k game right? Wow, I've been really looking forward to trying that out sometime. Problem is my RL gaming group has a select few games that we usually play, and sadly that isn't one of them.

like me, i know i didn't miss much this past weekend, but i almost lost my grandmother... thats really hard for me cause i never get to see her anymore but we were really close... i was born 45 years to the day after her... so i left work took a couple of days off n drove 7 hours to spend some time with her in the hospital.

Well thats my reason for having been gone and i assume everyone else has similar things. Health complications, job offers, life changes... all these things come first, understaandibly so

Well, I'm sure when you get the time to come back, and when Vemu is back from Moscow Rena. can be picked up easily. The only reason I can keep running my 4e game is because it is out of a module so it only needs minimal massaging to put up.

Honestly, I've gotta say I'm disappointed. I joined this site so I could play instead of DM for once. Now the two games I joined have gone stagnant and I find myself just DM'ing again ...

Would there be any interest in a strict update Dark Heresy game? Say Saturday and Tuesday with non-posters simply keeping their heads down.

I was thinking survival horror (DH's equivalent of a dungeon crawl) simply because it's the easiest thing for players to post into out of sequence. Nothing fancy - an introduction to the rules as much as anything else?

Well, as I stated before at, I'd be interested. Though not sure how much other interest you'll draw for a 40k game.

I didn't even know they made a 40k roleplaying game. But me being out of the loop on games isn't very unusual either. Every time we try something new at our tabletop we get burned, so it usually rolls back to D&D.

I'm trying to decide whether or not have the time to host fights in the arena. I'll get back to you guys on it though. I hate to see this place die after so long, but it takes active players and DMs both to make that happen.

It's not half bad actually - straightforward to get into, everything is accomplished by stating your action and rolling %.

Combat is rather short and brutal and it's really a game of investigation at heart, but cliched horror/survival is easier to push along if players go missing
