Xi continues to mop Up, crushing the will of the bandits to fight. Xi's metal attacks flooded the bandits mind with despair. The leader was dead, more than half the team was dead and the rest were falling quickly. What were these people? The bandit was sure he stood no chance against them... Damage and -2 to hit on #5 noted. Waiting for Laira and Abraxus

Abraxus looks on in despair as everyone else runs off across the bridge, leaving him to deal with the remaining bandit on this side of the bridge alone. He'd have to have a word about teamwork with them. The bandit seemed unwilling to go toe-to-toe with Abraxus. In an attempt to stop him dodging away Abraxus circles him and charges from further south. Move W, SW, SW to J11 then charges to L11 to attack #5
[dice=20] +9+1=23 vs AC [dice=8] +4=7 damage
If the bandit is not bloodied after the attack Abraxus will also use his Dragon Breath on him
[dice=20] +7=19 vs Ref [dice=6] +4=8 cold damage If hit Allies gain +5 to damage rolls against the target until the end of Abraxus' next turn.
If Abraxus bloodies #5 he will activate his Bold Victory Armour to gain +2 AC [rand=635682572411661588954904311911618394879819584206010981757624810018]

In an attempt to stop him dodging away Abraxus circles him and charges from further south. The dragonborns charge connected leaving the bandit bloodied. Abraxus could feel his armor charging and providing a magical barier for additional protection. Nice manuvering and use of terrain to pin your foe. Activating the armor is a free action, so you can still breath on him if you like. Or are you planing on intimidating him next?

You are right. Might as well use the breath as well then.

Laira Elereth moves to K7, curses bandit 5 and strikes him with an eldritch blast. 17 vs reflex for 12 damage and then 1 more from the curse. [dice=20]+1+1+4=17 vs reflex for [dice=10]+[dice=6]+5=12 damage. [rand=5071550852153459745806737337261491857302607968458192088352516294]

Inspired by Abraxus' inspiring breath, Laira's dark, crackling eldritch energy caused the bandit trapped by Abraxus to turn pale, then collapse. He was dead. He was quite dead even without the +5 damage from Abraxus

The sole bandit still alive (#3) tried climbing up the bank away from Harknail. Calling out "Coward!", Harknail lashed at him as he climbed out of the water. Atk vs AC, damage: (1d20+8=20, 1d8+4=5)Harknails sword just grazed the bandit, giving him even more motivation to vacate this area. Most would simply call it prudent to retreat when losing so badly. In any case the bandit moved quickly up stream, away from the metal and stone monster that was chasing him. For his part, Harknail charged the remaining bandit, still following (if perhaps over enthusiastically) the dictates of his god. Atk vs AC, damage: (1d20+9=19, 1d8+4=9)This blow finished off the bandit before he could outrun Harknail. Harknail then dragged the body back. [Combat ends, tag all]

Does Abraxus have a chance to commend Laira no how admirably she stood up to the bandits barrage of daggers? (Inspiring Word) before Harknail ends combat.

Does Abraxus have a chance to commend Laira no how admirably she stood up to the bandits barrage of daggers? (Inspiring Word) before Harknail ends combat. I allow powers to be used out of combat, so Abraxus can still use Inspiring Word. In fact, as a group is going to take a 10 min. break instead of the usual 5 min. break, Abraxus can use it an additional two times. Here is the role for the additional healing:[dice=6][rand=19136003730818634815613382961601595588652649894408525253157131374]

Harknail starts digging a grave for the bodies. It's not that he buries every foe he defeats, but these are by a main travel route where decomposing bodies might be a problem. If someone has a suggestion for a better way to dispose of them he'll likely go along with it.
Doesn't anyone have something they want to do after the fight? There's at least one money purse on the ground (Laira's).

Catching his breathe Abraxus calls out to everyone "Well done everybody! Anyone who needs it have a quick rest. Then lets quickly search them, throw them in Harknails big hole" Abraxus give Harknail a nod of encouragement, "Then keep going. We have lives to save!"
Abraxus starts searching those nearby and moving them over to Harknails grave. He will make sure he recovers his standard before everyone is ready to continue.

Just noticed that the Healing Standard was still up when Abraxus healed Laira, so I went and gave everyone else a HP. That leaves Abraxus down 2 HP, Harknail and Laira down 1 HP, and Xi down 6HP. If Xi spends a healing surge before Abraxus retrieves the banner everyone will be within 1 HP of max.
Checking the bandit before him, Abraxus found a surprisingly full money pouch. It turns out all 5 of the well armed bandits had about 2 pounds of gold in their purses. Even those with clubs had around 4 GP each. That gave the group 520 GP to divide between them.
Is the stranger on the bluff doing anything?

Time to level up! Everyone should adjust their characters to 3rd level. Let me know which 3rd level power you pick and if you want to retrain anything. You can post here or on your character posts.

The archer simply continues to observe the group as he is unsure of who they are or what their motives are.

Harknail took Righteous Smite as his third level encounter power. He also retrained Piercing Smite to Valorous Smite. These attacks are less likely to hit since they are based on CHR instead of STR, but fit the character and have really nice effects if he does hit. 7 Temp HP or Nearby foes are subject to Divine Sanction (he can now do that twice a fight).
I went ahead and spent a healing surge for Xi and put everyone to full HP. With everyone leveling it wasn't worth trying to keep track of damage.
