David this is the 6th game in a row you have ruined for me, and i will never game with you ever again. you do so even when other people try and game with you u want to be a pain in the ass. we i am done with it. I have tried to be nice, i tired talking about it privately with you, that you have ruined games and that you were doing things i did not like, i asked you to change and you have not. i tried doing it in character, yet even that has not worked. you are being fing dick, and i am calling you on it. we don't have to put up with your shit anymore. Im quitting hear and now, i thought it would get better but it has not. At: thanking for having me in game. At Joe& Walter im sry but i can't put up with David anymore. I feel i would have Nillfree turn CE if i continue and that is not sticking true to his character. i can't game if i start to lose sight of the character i play.at this point and that is not fair to my character or myself.

I never harmed you or character in the game. I think for myself and always have. If the other players don't want to play with me I'll quite. No point in playing in a game where people hate you.

sageaqua - to get the most out of DnD you need to get into the spirit of things a little more, i.e. not recognising magic your character hasn't seen before, being afraid the first time you run into a couple of 3hp skeletons, and most importantly playing as a group.
blastishy - if you want to give it one last stab i'm happy to carry on, as much as david metagames he's often a mile off the mark and only runs himself out of the encounters.
I was under the impression that you lot know each other IRL?

Yes we know each other. I used to run a few games for years Dan seemed to like for a while. He ran a few games that the players took advantage of him and it seems to of soured him on playing. ( He blames me for one of his games imploding ( It really wasn't my fault- I was given an npc to run and the party didn't need him and most of the game we ended up in 2 groups on different time lines) Now my meta-gaming was not intended to hurt your game. It was intended to help the spell casters because I know they don't know the spells in the books as well as they should. So I asked the spell casters can they do something related to fatigue? They didn't have an answer. I assumed that meant they didn't know. Ka'lion has been a pushy - I get frustrated waiting for people to do something ( sometimes for weeks). So he leads with a pathetic charisma. To a large degree that is why he is having trouble with the party. No one leads not even the wizard we are supposed to be following. 2ND level barbarians are assumed to have some experience. I don't know what experience you don't want him to have. Do remember Ka'lion reads - he is literate and he is very smart. So he is very well read. So was Genghis Khan. Ka'lion is an extremist outdoors men with anger issues to put it simply that ran away from home after killing his gammas familiar after it bite him. He was staying with the monks to learn to control his temper and they where training him as a monk ( but he rages keeps sabotaging his calm. ) He has asked the druid to train him - the druid said no. So the druid has no one to blame but herself for the party not gaining some control over him. Likewise he has tried to find out how the wizard intends to stop the demon if it has gotten out. But the wizard has refused to say anything. So he is pushy.

(I'll continue for now and see where things go)
Belomme and Nillfree enter the inn and ascend the stairs while Ka'lion lingers outside, hoping to overhear any conversation. Instead what he hears is a bloodcurdling cry of fear from the church as he realised that in his earlier haste he might easily have overlooked a survivor buried amongst the dead.

Vadania glares at Ka'lion, "So you're going to protect the villagers by burning them to death are you? Come, we need to get the survivors out of that church and I don't trust you not to burn down the inn if I leave you here alone."
OOC: I can't say that I'm at all surprised by this turn of events.

Ka'lion doesn't respond - He was inside the church - where should he cut a hole to get the survivor out? While he's figuring it out he's running over there. The back door is less likely to have a massive door. I remember it was blocked but it is the furthest away from where he started the fire.[rand=17790395091287792398301704786717978380464855581528885380309075117]

Ka'lion recalls that there were two normal sized doors at the back of the church's main room - one, likely leading from the belltower was bolted from the inside, the other he is unsure of though perhaps leading to a side office or bedroom.
The church has three windows on the side facing the inn - two large, and one small barred window across the back room. On the far side a single window has been smashed and now billows smoke while the second is still intact.
The building is made of stone.

Ka'lion smashes the window as far from the fire as he can but he's watching for any signs of the attackers. He thinks the wizard is still around watching. "Get out!" he calls. "I think the wizards gone but I can't be sure!" as he climbs inside to assist. climb check. [dice=20] +5 skill +1 str +3 roll = 9 I have terrible luck rolling online. Vadania gives the Barbarian a helping push into the burning building where he lands face first amongst the scattered barricade. Glancing up he cannot see and survivors, though the table blocking one of the doors to the rear has been thrown aside.
(fort DC 11 or be sickened by the smell, smoke, and sight of it all)

Vadania attempts to climb up at least far enough to tell where the cries are coming from.
Climb: [dice=20]-2=1
Fort Save: [dice=20]+5=8
Listen: [dice=20]+10=16
The dice don't like me either...[rand=11248436896130443449690010864287600833292095921933723841508897021413]

Of the doors leading outside of the church, are any particularly damaged? Aelos is thinking it'll be hard to get injured people out through a burning building, and is looking for a way to create an easier opening. If not, he'll probably just start to smash on a door and see if he can get it to open (probably not strong enough, but worth a try).

(anyone failing their roll against sickened is at a -2 penalty to further saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks while inside the burning building - a minute in fresh air automatically clears the condition)
Another muted cry rings out, the survivor appears to have staggered into the bell tower. Always aware Vadania's ears pick up more shouting, this time from beyond the village - lost in the fog but getting closer.
Looking up from outside Aelos can see that the openings in the tower itself would be too small for more than a child to squeeze through assuming they could climb to the top. The front door itself seems to sturdy to quickly bash down and smoke is already seeping from beneath it.
Inside the inn and ignorant of events outside Belomme and Nillfree examine the unusual glyph.

Ka'lion finishes climbing inside. (You are already in, Vadania pushed you from behind as you struggled up. From the sound of the cry the survivor is almost certainly in the bell tower, at ground level)

Kalion seeks the bell tower entrance quickly keeping low - let me know if he sees any water sources - he'll want to wet his and the victims clothes down so they wont be burned.

A small font had been toppled to help block the main doors, but there is not other visible source of water. The fallen villages are fully ablaze and the fire itself is quickly spreading across the scattered debris in which Ka'lion landed - escape will soon be impossible, at least without a few burns.
Behind the door to the belltower Ka'lion finds a burnt, middle aged, and somewhat portly woman with a bloodstreaked face - clearly from a head wound.
She clings to a rope ladder at the far end of the room but appears too weak to climb, instead cowering in a shallow puddle of rainwater in the far corner.
Still weak from the earlier assault the barbarian doubts he could carry her out through the flames, and while the door to the tower will hold back the fire for a time escape from the tower itself is a far from certain prospect.
