Vetch peers up over his bowl of pottage and nods at the elf. "Weren't me. I thought you had paid for it."
He looks at the group and says "I am ready whenever you all are. I happened to purchase supplies before I met you all yesterday."

Being in a very good mood when he sees the others come down to eat " Morning troops, Who do i owe for breakfast cause i know i did not pay for but i want to thank the person who did so if you see or know them please tell them thank you ( he has no idea who did so). So anything eventful go on when i went to bed? Actually we can talk on the way to get what we need on our list of supplies, so we best get to that as soon as we finish, I want to get a good jump on the day." Harknail replied, "That be thee. Thy payeth for my room when I needeth not a room."

" Thank you Harknail for doing that. Our first stop is a horse and a strong enough cart for Harknail here. Then any magical items you wish to get but i'm happy with mine as they are for now. second to last stop is food and water. Then we say are goodbyes to any family or girlfriends u guys have here and i take that is none. Then we had off, lots to do not much time so best get to it." Then he finishes his meal, not wolfing it down but at a good speed to not be rude.
In the interest of moving things along can we skip trough buying things and have us just spend the amount of gold for things and head off, is everyone ok with this, im a bit board being in the city for this long.

"I will await you at the city limits once your preparations are complete"
Vetch finishes his meal and heads for the door, pack in hand.

cool dm just tally up what we need for the trip and Zem will pay out of pocket. if the cart is very expensive like over 100 gp he will try a few ways to lower the cost without stealing it. using diplomacy mainly, or a streetwise check to see where he can get a good deal and not get a rickety one with wheels about to fall of at any moment. I have around 680 gp and I rather not have to spend all of it.
Diplomacy [dice=20]+9 = 17 streetwise of [dice=20]+4= 15[rand=35019066673703499444493548944592150016948580741886138874986208975]

Barbatos will grab a seat on the cart alongside Harknail, easier to read and he's not a skilled rider. (poke poke DM )

I can pay that no worries, also i would like to stock up on food and water for the trip so even 100 gps sound ok? It may be like 115 because im feeding 3 people not 4 yet we still need the food and water but i don't know if i need to pay for that. I want to also have some extra food and water just in case we get lost so like an extra 5 days. I buy some good things for the elf to eat so he can be well nourished, i am a doctor after all ) we meet up with the half Ork and he is most likely riding the horse. ( has the best skill at it) I get in back of the cart as well and then set out on the Journey. " Time to head out boys" and in a joking voice say "Please keep your hands and feet in the cart at all times unless we are under attack, ty. Our first stop is the the big bad dark forest and a little forgotten town within it. I hope you enjoy your trip, we do have medical support in case you need assistance" and we take off in the direction of the town we are going to try and get to.

Barbatos picks up a tarpaulin, rope, pitons, and a few blankets from the merchants as part of the trade for horse, cart, and food. If the weather turns bad the cart would provide welcome shelter.

Harknail speaks up, "Ridge Woods grow where Karse once stood, large as the Ridge wood be now. Sarnath be far inland, near where I be forged. I knoweth the way, but the land itself hath changed since I last beeth there."
Vetch is well familiar with the Ridge Woods, large enough for many towns to be contained within. The trees there are old, it's been a forest for a long time. Yet Vetch knows of a few places where underground construction can still be found, ancient remains of dungeons, usually with new occupants.
And Harknail is talking about it like he remembers it being a city from personal experience, not something he read in a dusty tome.

" Thank you buddy, i hope your well home/birthplace is still there. Wait you said something about being forged? I hope it is still there we could use it if need be if that is ok with you. Also does that mean dwarfs or gnomes gave you life how does that work? We may be able to have them give us aid, tho dwarfs don't like my kind much. Vetch how are we doing on our path,to Karse? Any ideas what locals live out here, the more we know the best we can prepare for it. The elf keeps his eyes out for anything out of the ordinary, just in case there are things willing to take a shot at them ( per of 22). He never liked the forest much nor does he trust the things in it. Right now he had to put trust they would get there ok, what was there waiting for them there he had no idea. turning to the wizard I never got you name in all of this sry i meant to ask sooner but i had a lot on my mind at the time. how is the book coming along?

You do indeed get Ritual Caster for free. I have your 4th level feat as Combat Medic. I don't know why it's not showing up on iPlay4e. I'll try to fix it tomorrow.

In response to the question Barbatos answers, "most of the book refers to places and people long gone. There is something there, or at least there was, but the book is only the first clue in a greater mystery"

(sigh) "Well they can never make it easy can they. O well we will find out soon enough. You have yet to tell me your name by the way. Unless you like me referring to you as wizard that is. I fine it polite to address others by the right name."

"My name is Barbatos, though 'wizard' would serve just as well. I command the elements - fire, ice, and thunder, and can summon both shadow and light to our defence." Barbatos pauses in thought, "For more complex rituals however I lack the reagents, a pity as it would make the deciphering of my other tomes somewhat easier "

Vetch looks out over the neck of the horse and listens to the discussions. The Ridge Woods had been his home many years, and he knew of many potential places, he searched his mind for the location that best suited what the Wizard and the construct were discussing.
He says "There are only two large groups who dwell in the forest, elves like our friend here, and...shifters. As with any forest though, it has many other inhabitants. I tend to steer clear of both and all when possible. However, the legends and the forest show signs of an old city which stood where these trees now flourish. Might be that is the place you are seeking. Karth was its name. Not much above ground, but below....that is another story"
