"It is my opinion that the child should stand trial at Moonhaven alongside the adult. I agree that she should be given a chance to redeem herself. However, it is a risk, and it is the local citizens who will suffer if she sabotages them as they try to rehabilitate her, not us."
But Vetch knows their culture better then us. Vetch, what is your opinion of how fair a trial they would receive in the culture of Moonhaven?"

Vetch frowns and says "I lived in the woods for a reason. The humans of the area shunned me as a half breed. I can't say with any certainty how the townsfolk would handle this, as I have not often lived among them. They tolerated my presence, but I was never accepted in their community on account of my orc heritage."

OOC: oh, wait sorry whoever has the highest thievery skill should be the one to search where the Gnoll indicated for the remaining coin, so Stravanya won't for fear of breaking a lock. That would be Vetch. She'll give him her thieves tools if he doesn't have any of his own.

Bennegar looks at the half-orc with as close to a compassionate expression as his form would allow. "I know this all too well, friend. Being made of crystal and having the physical stature of an adult, even in adolescence, isn't exactly a social boon." He turns to the remaining gnoll, one whom had been his captor not so long before. He speaks to the room at large, never taking his eyes off of the gnoll. "I now fear that rehabilitation would only see the child corrupted further. I see no other option than to leave the matter in the hands of a higher authority, though I must say that I fear what they may decree... Yes. I concur with you, m'lady." He turns to Stravanya, nodding. "The both of them must stand trial. It is the only way that we might attain any form of justice for both parties." He hefts his tome slightly under his arm, looking a bit uneasy. "Now, what left is there to be done here? I yearn for the sun's warmth. This place does little for me, aesthetically." He flicks his arm and a chunk of dull crystal flecks off onto the ground. He chuckles quietly, though he gives no indication as to what he found funny. Lizzy snorts and mumbles something to him, which only makes him chuckle more.

The best at Thievery would be Vetch at +5, second best would be Oris at +4. Neither is good at it, but then the best of the gnolls wasn't much better.
Reassured that there aren't further hordes of gnolls waiting to attack them, the group moves (with the bound gnoll prisoner) to explore and search the rest of the complex. Removing the barricade, they check out the next room. As soon as they enter they hear calls for help.
Looking towards the calls, they see another cage. This one holds two humans, a man and a woman. The man is laying on the floor of the cage with one leg missing. The woman appears to still have all her limbs. The crude bandage over the mans stump is still leaking blood, he does not look to be in good shape. It was the woman who had called to them. It appears that she has tried to bind the wound with pieces of cloth torn from her skirt.
A key is hanging on a peg about 10 feet from from the cage.

OOC: did the gnoll just lie to us? When I asked if there was anything of value or importance left in the lair she should have told us about the prisoners.

Stravanya rushes over to grab the keys, asks the women if these are the keys to the lock, then opens the cage if she says yes to let Zem through to help the injured man.

Stravanya glances at the Gnoll prisoner once she see's captives. The gnoll's reactions are still very muted from having her spirit broken, but she seemed a bit puzzled that the group is paying any attention to those in the cage. Stravanya concludes that the gnoll wasn't lying so much as she simply didn't see the prisoners being of value.
Good catch, the omission was intentional on my part, not an oversight. Just showing how skewed

Mam im a medic im here to help it was smart in what you did i wish i had gotten here sooner.
good sir please hang on and be brave for me now, your doing fine but hang in there.
( He uses both his healing words on the man.)
" We got to get him to a more powerful cleric but i can do my best with what i have.
we have a cart vetch your the fastest i need stavania and yourself to carry him to our cart, keep aplying pressure to his wound to keep it from bleeding out. You need to take the cart and him to moonhaven, we cant all fit on the cart and he is in a lot of pain. I dont want to split up but i cant see much other options unless any of you do cause now would be a great time to speak up."
I would like to use a healing skill to prevent him from bleading out and to prevent it from getting infected.

The healing word has no effect, the man has already exhausted his healing reserves. But better bandaging could still save his life.
OOC: He only had one healing surge, and he's already used it. Make a Healing check to re-bandage his wound.

Barbatos looks around the room - the barricade had not been disturbed so the other gnoll was still around here somewhere.
"We should retrieve the horse" he notes.

As our last resort yes get it ready oris your his back up please. Benn i need you here to watch the door . This is our option c. that is if this next healing does nothing for we are right now on option B, option A was my first 2 normally i use on all of you and never have i seen it not work but no worries we still have plently of ways you will survive sir you need not worry
harknail im going to need your help if you could. i hope in war you may have learned a bit of combat medicine cause i could use anything you know on the subject.
Zem was putting on the brave face for the man, show no fear was wise right now this man was going to live and he had to show that this mans medic was doing all he could to ensure that happens. Still it was a long time since zem saw a wound this bad not since he was in the medical tent back home.
( using cure light wounds first) During healing skill
Tell me about your home? What does your home look like? Zem knows keeping the mans attenchen off of his leg being gone was best shock and not holding still never helps.

While he waits for Zem to answer, Vetch looks at the Gnoll prisoner and says "Are there any more captives in this place? Answer truthfully or face the consequence wretch!"

While the mam'a wound could not be considered light, the cure light wounds spell does have a definite and helpful effect. The bleeding stops, and the man, unconscious because of blood loss, revives.
OOC: While the man still only has one leg, and he's not fully healed, his life is no longer in danger.

While he waits for Zem to answer, Vetch looks at the Gnoll prisoner and says " Are there any more captives in this place? Answer truthfully or face the consequence wretch!"Vetch's threats have no effect on the gnoll, He's already broken her spirit and she doesn't expect that she'll live long anyway. She answered, " This is all the live food we have in our larder." When she refers to this room as the larder, a glance around supports this. There isn't much in the way of fresh food, but there enough trail rations for about 120 meals. These are of good quality , most likely stolen. There is a spot covered with dried blood that looks like fresh game had been stored there at one time. And there is a small stock of gathered fresh food (edible roots and berries).
