They are not hostal right now but if you linger much longer your over staying your welcome and getting in their way.

It is now a skill challenge and diplomacy has already been used so other skills are going to be in skill challenge.

Remember no arcane magic nor devine came up with detect magic and Preception will only give you what you can see as it already has.

Other skills such as k( geo) or the planes or history, dudungeonering, religion, other may work if you can find way to apply them.) Or you can back out and down mt and regroup you have many choices currently.)

what you do know so far :

The god's water was ment to flow out, so the tunnal acts pipeline for water to flow out of the Mts, yet it has not done so. you don't know why nor do the elementals

they never did say they finished it all the way, nor that they were not done and still in construction of it. you never did K( the planes) roll, you just started speaking thier language. you need that skill roll to understand how they act and things. a language does not mean you get understanding of culture only one aspect of it. language does not replace K(skills)

Elfs were at this temple at one time and fallowed the god Isis, they have not come down here and use to have lots of good strong magic.the map is a great indecator of this so far.

Map said this was a way in, this does not mean there are not others. Only this one was the most direct in from the direction your were comming,

keep in mind you never questioned
why would the elf map say you could get in that way if it was not alreay finished.

reading form your posts most of you did miss that part, becuase you have yet to bring it up. Im giving you that one cuase it was kinda key to your question as to if it was done or not, so far no one has done so.

your party member is still down there with the map and all he sees is that it has a cave up there, and he knows it redraws itself just like the one we just found in other online game but are very usefull. so you may wish to use that when trying to get more clues as to what is going on.

OOC: I thought Nokomis has already airlifted everyone up the the ledge.

First thing Nokomis does is go down and get the last party member and bring them up. As for herself, she'll either stay off the ledge or stand on a section too narrow for those who can't fly if they fall.

Next she will use her skill in dungeoneering, (5IDQf8Pqp_1-20+13=25) flying around to see the entrance at different angles. She then says, "The tunnel looks complete at this end, and since they're expecting water in the map says this is a route, it must be complete at the other end as well. So since their work here is complete, what is keeping them from returning to their home dimension? I would like to help with that if we can."1-20

( with a 25 she knows a few things
1) is that the cave is at a slope so water can rush out easily, but no sign of any water.
2) it is infact what she has seen from the outside its the only cave big enough for all of them on this side.
3) the cave upper walls do look like they could cave in but that is well further in so they dont have to worry yet.)

Callo considers the spells that would likely bind these elementals here, and whether simply plane-shifting them home would suffice to end their servitude or instead leave them stranded and still bound.

( Ok with a very high roll you got: you know if you sent them back new ones would be sent automatically meaning an endless cycle. And yes even if you did send them back they would not have accomplished the task and strand them. From your spell craft You also know its a powerfull caster able to do this maybe the god herself did so and able to hide the magic from detection, that and had to be with a permancy spell to make it last, or an arcana contract.

So if they try to leave you know somthing will keep them here like a dimetional anchor spell only better cause its a symbol of a god on them.

You do know Arcana contracts do exist but never seen one done and dont know how they exactly work.

Its history to see who sided with who as far as elementals go.

( it was what set up the skill challenge: in most cases in my game many options such as taking it out rather then fight do come up and set up skill challenges at times. Also that skill cant work much more only because they already are being as helpfull as they can be given what they recall. )

You find out the water flow has not been leaking so its totaly dry tho you do know what is keeping them here the key to there release rests within the temple.

You also know the tunnal has been compelled years ago.

Tho you can tell trying to convince them work is done will not yield much. )

Callo knows that the flow of water being turned on the elementals will/do like that idea.

You have gotten all info you could get so far if no objects you tell elementals you will turn on the water from within the temple.

If no objections the party can now start venturing down the tunnal and be at the temple in a short time.

Sounds good. We can part on friendly terms with the elementals and pledge to fix the water flow thingy for them.
