Lynette knocks and calls out. From inside the group can hear indistinctly the voices of a man and a woman before the door opens to reveal a man in bedrobe squinting out into the dark, "Lynette?"
Lynette herself seems more interested in the second voice, a beautiful young woman wrapped in a bedsheet standing behind the man, "you whore!". The other woman seems unconcerned as she replies "hey sis".
It would seem that the party has found their man though as the figure before them fits Lynettes earlier description. Seeing the group he steps out as Lynette pushes her way past inside and closes the door, "well ... I wasn't expecting guests but as you are here with Lynette I suppose I can trust you.". He adjusts his robes seemingly unaffected by the cold, "I am Melwyn, Melwyn the magnificent, master of magics, creator of wonders, and so on. Are you looking to buy something?"

Vadania answers, "Ka'lion here wanted to talk to you before we left the area. Also, I wanted to let you know that the goat men in the area have been killed, although they left your place in quite a mess. I've put any magic scrolls we found into scroll tubes for protection."
After a pause she added, "Do you have a couple of displacer beasts as guards?"

Garrot seems more interested in the beautiful woman wrapped in the bedsheet. He wanders over and says "Hello! I am Garrot, what is your name? Why aren't you wearing any clothes? Is Lynette really your sister? Are you really a whore?" He is grinning and hopping up and down as he talks.

"Garrot, those are not polite questions. True or not. As a rule humans don't ask. Lonely people are everywhere. Melwyn, I have a few magic items I'd like to trade for horses if I can get them gold if I can't. But I also had a idea on how to fight the demons that are possessing creatures and have broken free of their prison's. I also have a book I think you should take a look at. Now how hard would it be for you to create holy water versions of a decanter of endless water?" asked Ka'lion

Garrot waits around as Melwyn moves away from the building, opening the to peer in and finding the two sistes involved in something of a shouting contest which his questions only seem to intensify.
Outside Melwyn nods in confirmation at Vadanias words as he walks away from the door, waiting until they have moved a little distance from the building before answering, away from the noise, "displacer beasts? No, not here. No horses either but I could certainly sell you a scroll or five to summon them." He reaches into his pocket and fishes out a pipe, "now demons and decanters are a clerical matter. I happen to know an old Knight of the flame and i'd wager their priests would be capable of such a feat but it would take a lot of silver, and not just to buy their services"

Vadania answers, "We've met Eldon, but Ka'lion did not treat him well. I doubt he will help Ka'lion now. If you don't have any Displacer Beasts, I suggest you be very careful when you return home. There are two of them lurking around looking for easy targets."

"We saved his life and most of the serving people in the village and in the castle and he tries to steal from me. I wouldn't of treated him any differently then I did. But I'm afraid summoned mount's just wont last long enough for our needs. Are there any wild horse's nearby?" suggests Ka'lion

"There are at least 2 Displacer Beasts. There could be more. We don't know for sure. I only met 2 of them." say's Ka'lion

Vadania comments, "It's a bit more complicated than that. But I don't think Eldon will be inclined to help us further anytime soon."

Melwyn shrugs, "well to answer your other question no, there are no horses lurking in the hills. Goats perhaps, but tell me more about these beasts"

"6 legs, tentacles on back, 500 pounds cat like and very smart. Ohhh yes. About 10 feet long." said Ka'lion, "I don't know of anything else they could be. My family are wizard's. I grow up around strange creatures of all types."

"Yes, yes, I know what they are, but what are they doing here?" Melwyn ponders, "though if you think you could bring me the hide of one intact i'm sure I could arrange some of that gold you seem eager for"

"That requires everyone to only use blunt weapons. Staves, slings, no damage spells, net's. Anything else would leave marks." said Ka'lion

Hi my name is George and yes i can talk, i say this cause most are not use to us being able to.
Im sorry we found you the way we did, we did not mean to intrude.
Garrot i get you like asking things for its your nature, yet tact is better used when speaking to people you just meet,
im surprised she did not slap u for asking, if she had you would definitely deserve it, never ever ask a women that question, unless u want her rath.
As for the hole old clearic thing, he wanted us to go on a crazy expedition, that had no hope and would get us killed.
His understudy called my friend a cowered, for not going. Tried to tells us what we had to do, makeing it sound like we had no opinion.
called me crazy for keeping any one injured in that, so in short a medaforical bridge burned from both sides. And i blame myself for i was the one who wanted him to read the book in the first place.
So we left them ended up, meeting her then were led here, u may have droped some coins by the way.

Vadania said, "No, it was the displacer beasts that placed the coins. I think they were trying to lure one of us away from the others. Either that or they were guiding us to the wizard. As for the old priest, he wanted us to either use the book or give it to someone that would. Ka'lion wanted to take the book and go hide, thus assuring doom for all. Ka'lion felt that the priest was trying to take the book and the priest needed someone to use the book, either us or someone else." She shrugged, "Things went downhill from there."

It was not for him to force anyone to do so, he had no right to do what he did. He is not a god, thus no right , im not going to speak for ka'lion is here and able to speak,
so conmander if you would stop projecting what u think his action ment. Stop speaking for him, stop calling hom out on everything he does. Stop saying what he did or did not mean via his actions. it would help me out. Cause im sick of it, he can hold to what ever the bloody hell he wants, do what ever the hell he wants. So step off, im not kidding.
The point is many have not helped us in the way we need right now we need too find a way to start fighting back without dieing.
We need to start fighting smarter not harder. Fighting such beasts takes away from resources we need.
they may be more of use alive and fighting the enemy, then dead and money in a pocket.
Im not asking things for free but if you dont help us im afraid are allies run short, right now we need a person to help in a major way without asking us to die to do so, killing monsters could lead to our death.
I ask for another means of trade i speak only for myself.

And yes ka'lion them attacking you was not great, and not comendable but not evil.
To them you were food as elk is to a wolf. fighting them for revenge, or gold makes us no better then our enemies.
If we drain our resources and fail we are worse off then now, if we drain them and win we are only slightly better off.
We need a game changer i was hoping the book and i was wrong, that was on me. powerfull magic is good, but at what cost? If you wish fight that is your call and ill back you but i feel us attacking them is illadvised .

" That requires everyone to only use blunt weapons. Staves, slings, no damage spells, net's. Anything else would leave marks." said Ka'lion " No thanks," said Vadania. " We've got other monsters to fight and people to rescue. We need to get going. Besides, when I use my sling or cudgel, it leaves marks."

"Not like arrows or sharp weapons do. No matter, I only hunt for food not sport and never for more then I need. Melwyn if you want to hire us to capture the cats and your able to trade in enough coin or magic to ... Wait a minute. We are going into a situation that may be very dangerous. What about this. We help you cage the cats and you come with us and assist us with the goblins and bears - oh my. After word you keep the cats and you summon mounts as we go. That's the best deal your going to get." says Ka'lion
