Garrot is completely fascinated by the invisible horse. He doesn't pay much attention to the woman walking away (why do big people do anything he thinks), he instead keeps putting his hand on the horse, and then behind the horse, and wiggling his fingers.

Xana looks back and holds a finger to her lips, then holds it forward to indicate that she will only be a minute - though unable to see the approaching group from here Vadania is unsure of how long they actually have. At the river gate Garrot is already preparing to open it.

Ka'lion waits for Garrot to open the gate. He knows full well that Xana has gone in to get either something that belongs to her or to steal something she hopes the wizard will blame on us or the ibaxian. At this point, it doesn't matter to him. He's exspecting her to scream for help because of the cats.

Vadania sighs, and follows with Ylva so that she won't appear easy picking for the Displacer Beasts. She hopes three are enough to hold them at bay, or perhaps they've already retreated with more coming.

Ka'lion im going to need to barrow your bow for a bit. If it is drow hitting them is impractical, in close we are dead.

Dam it to hell, she is going to die too. This is stupid we need to move and get out. He motions at them to get away and not to go in. Its a trap, and he has no way of keeping them alive, he is out of heals,
He never got them back as far as my understanding is.
We cant fight and win on this one and this is me saying that, running now is our best if not only pratical option. Ill draw fire for as long as i can when you give the order, dont use the portal unless you have too to get away ill be right behind the rest of you. Get them away from there now.

Harnail that is a realy bad call to go in there you uave split the party and forcing us to go in, im not fond of that. George simply has no healing or spells for the day. I was trying to say so before u went in.

I agree it's a bad choice, but it's the one Vadania would make. She's not expecting anyone to come after her and she's going to be trying to get the sister to leave pronto.
As for being out of spell, where did they all go? We get our spells back every morning, and we haven't done much since.

She doesn't want Xena's death on our reputations and Xena may of gone in to steal or to retreave her belongings. Either way she's not thinking about the cat's or the dark elves. Both of which are very dangerous. You should also keep in mind Xena is the sister of a new party member. She'd never forgive us if we left her sister to die and I wouldn't blame her. U can handle things but learned u need us from time to time. I agree she would be pissed family is family, but im not dieing for people i dont know,
He never got a chance to pry to his god. As far as im concerned he never got them for the day. It says he must pry , so no even if the dm says i have them im not using them, he should not have them because of this.

As Vadania and Ka'lion break away Garrot continues to watch through the gate, as the last of the new group move up the stone stairs and out of sight behind buildings he pushes the gate open - the path ahead is clear.
Lynette is first through showing no desire to wait for her sister, keeping low to avoid attention from any who might have remained further down the hill.
Xana is already on her way back out as Vadania reaches the door, carrying the battered metal box they had seen earlier.

Vadania was relived that it was indeed quick. She watched for the cats as they rejoined the others.

Garrot will wait at the gate until the party is together again. Once they are together, he will close and lock the gate behind them, and tuck the key away. He has to suppress a shudder of excitement as he sees the metal box. He had forgotten about it!

The group move cautiously but quickly down the river, wading rather than walking alongside in order to remain low down and hidden from the path. As they reach the trees the group is able to climb out of the water and pick up their pace following the water on a winding path down through the hills.
Xana notes that the river runs towards the old flooded mines, and that Melwyn spoke of finding the portal after following it back - though he had never discovered who originally created the portal nor if it was made from this side or the other.
Vadania considers their options for using the remaining magical powder. It would not be difficult to track the party while they stuck to the river but the path for them was relatively clear here. To either side was dense undergrowth, trees, and uneven ground, harder to find tracks once they had been lost but also difficult to move through quickly.

We just stay in the water. It's a lot harder to follow tracks in the water and it's when we get out of the water that we will use it.
