Lynette's magic heals Ylva back to a more reasonable condition, though the wolf is still wounded. Examining the treasure pile reveals only stones, glass, scraps of metal and cloth, and a few scattered copper coins - this place looks less like a lair and more like a trap.

Vadania thinks stopping them is a good idea. How much time do we have to try stopping them?

Vadania thinks stopping them is a good idea. How much time do we have to try stopping them? One combat round, unless you slow them down. It's not a big cave. You can pursue them as they are not especially fast, but that carries it's own risks.

Ka'lion doesn't want to kill dragons or drakes. If they leave him alone. he'll leave them alone. He doesn't like the idea of killing the magic and killing magical creatures - he considers killing the magic. As far as he's concerned a big drake is more food then the party needs.

Ka'lion finds only 23 copper coins. Given cloth and other items found in the pile he would have expected to find more - this does not look like the belongings of purely goblin meals.

He saves the coins for latter, "Let's go." says Ka'lion, "It's about 2 silver pieces and doesn't look like it is only golblin coinage. I would of expected more unless the coins belonged to a poor servant hiding down here after the attack. There may be others.” Ka;lion tries to carry the drake over his back unless it’s to heavy. If it is - he’ll cut off a leg for dinner.

The largest of the drakes weighs several hundred pounds - it is larger than a wolf with a bone crest and four large tusks.

Ka'lion cuts off the head and leaves it behind. He's only carrying with him about 40 pounds of meat.

You can pursue them as they are not especially fast, but that carries it's own risks.Normally Vadania would let wild animals retreat, but they were going to be spending a night down here and she didn't want to be ambushed while sleeping. So she directed a lightning bolt at the spitting drake and slashed down at the prone drake before her when it tried to get up. For Ylva it was even simpler, this thing had attacked her friend and Ylva was going to keep attacking until it was dead. Lightning damage: o6wVuq8hp_1-6p_1-6p_1-6p_1-6=15-5(rolled extra die) = 10 Vadania opportunity attack: p_1-20+4+2(flank)=25 Vadania damage: p_1-8+1=5 Ylva opportunity attack: p_1-20+6+2(flank)=27 Ylva Damage: p_1-6+3=5 Ylva trip (to keep it down): p_1-20+3=21 Ylva normal attack: p_1-20+6+2(flank)=26 Ylva Damage: p_1-6+3=7 Ylva trip (to keep it down): p_1-20+3=6 OOC: I don't think the prone one that attacked Vadania is getting away, these are some of our best hits! So we have only one or two to worry about tonight... 1-61-61-61-61-201-81-201-61-201-201-61-20

Vadania won't pursue the last one. One drake isn't likely to attack again, and won't be much of a problem if it does. We'll need to stand watches, but we'll need to do that anyway.
Ka'lion's comments remind Vadania that the village is short of meat. She'll dress the two smaller drakes while Ka'lion works on the larger. It's more meat than they can use now, but they might come this way again. She'll let Ylva have her favorite parts (which were not Vadania's favorites anyway).
She'll bring enough meat to feed the wolves for a few days, but is inclined to leave the rest here for now.
Now that the drakes have been dealt with, it was time to find a place to camp for the night. Vadania didn't want to be too close to the entry to the monastery, but she didn't want a long hike in the morning before they got started either.

Once a campsite has been set up, Vadania will ask Lynette to boost her heal spells, then heal Ylva and herself (and anyone else who's wounded that I missed). We can then set up watches. Vadania volunteers for one of the watches where we're using a lantern instead of the sunroof for illumination. She'll be able to see further than the others.

Searching the surrounding area the group eventually find the exit - it is partially blocked and it appears that someone on the outside had attempted to smoke the drakes out unaware of the second exit.
While the scorched barricade did not look difficult to roll aside there may well be a watch beyond.
Within the cave itself a flat and dry spot not far from the exit serves as a camp site and the group has enough magical healing to ensure everyone begins the assault at full strength the following day.
There is a strange feeling in the air here however, magic that seems to emanate from the monastery making it uncomfortable to rest. Ka'lion also begins to feel a waning in his magical strength but initially dismisses it as simple discomfort from the magical aura.

We set up camp. We have a lot to do before morning but are otherwise quiet and keep an eye on the entrance. Ka'lion's going to use this time while creating jerky to try to figure out how to remove the stones enough to get out with as little noise as possible. Ka'lion unaware that he's doing no longer has any foot prints.

(Pick spells for the big push)
There is rain and distant thunder overnight, though for once no suggestion that it is anything other than natural weather - and if it continues into the following day it may aid the party by keeping the heads of any observers down.
As Ka'lion rests though he feels an odd fearful sensation. Grabbing up his axe he peers about in the darkness but nothing of note has happened - Lynette sits nearby watching for trouble but the cave is otherwise quiet. The sensation seems to be coming from the axe itself... Ka'lion packs it away and the sensation subsides.
(The axe is an intelligent item, though capable of only empathy. It can serve as a night guard of sorts but is twitchy - and it has a very low ego score)

Spells updated for Vadania. She's going with all cure light wounds for first level spell, mostly damage spells for higher levels (with a spider climb to handle vertical climbs). For cantrips she's giving up her usual survival cantrips to focus on healing and detecting magic.
