Aegis searches the site for anything suspicious or arcane. If its been used many times over the years, a spellcaster might've dropped something or someone could've tucked a note in a tree or burrow.

Aegis does not find anything suspicious nor arcane. Thrack thinks this is a good campsite, which is why it has been used by others. The old fire pit will take just a little work to repair. It wasn't actually a pit, just a ring of stones around a small depression. But this will let the group have a fire without risking starting a wildfire through the grasslands.
Having had the most experience by far with camping in the wild, Thrack directs the making of the camp. He then heads out with Beth to find some firewood for the night. Beth might not be stealthy, but stealth isn't needed to hunt firewood. What Beth has is a good eye find the wood and a strong back to carry it.

Nothing disturbs the group as they make supper and prepared to settle down for the night.
What (if anything) are you going to do for watches during the night? Also, are you going to leave the campfire lit or not? Thrack knows that a lit campfire will tend to keep animals away, but can attract the attention of any sentient creatures up and about.

So now that we have ate, it's time we decided to keep the fire lit or put it out. The pro is a lit one keeps animals away a given the amount of wolves no telling what eles is out here lit is not bad option. But fires even smallish ones gives off light from afar as well as smoke. In my searching mission I saw no evidence of any human ambushers that does not mean they can't be held up someplace and see the fire if kept lit. I'll leave that call up to rest of u. We need to take watches, one set of eyes up is not always best.

Mika points out, "There are six of us. If we do 3 watches, that would have two people per watch. Umm, Aegis, would you like to stand watch with me?"

Bishop volunteers for the dawn shift, noting that those in the party with the best night vision should take the darkest hours.

He starts to take his rest until he is woken up for his shift.

Thrack is taking one hit dice R8LmaSfmp_1-12+Con mod to heal up. He is back to full given players don't get temp hp even if it passes max hp from roll.1-12

So far we have Bishop taking the dawn shift (and suggesting those with darkvision take the darkest shifts), Thrack is taking a shift other than dusk shift (since he's going to sleep). Mika wants to share a shift with Aegis. Mika, Aegis, and Thrack have darkvision, so if Mika and Aegis are on different shifts, you could have someone with darkvision on every shift. Also Bishop and Beth are the most perceptive. So as best as I can tell, your shifts are going to be: dusk shift: Beth and Kamon-DO middle shift: Aegis & Mika dawn shift: Bishop and Thrack.
Is everyone good with this?

Since Beth seems to be the leader of this group, I guess that makes it official One last question, do you want to leave the fire lit all night or not? Either way has it's advantages and drawbacks.

That does sound alright as well. Might be best to keep the lights on, just because we have people with Darkvision doesn't mean its fair to turn it off for the rest.

Thrack is sleeping quite peaceful by this point and having an epic dream of smashing drums and taking his flail to the drum king's head. His body is still tho not waving his arms about like some do while sleeping.
It was for the first time in a long time he was getting sleep in place he was ok with.
Inns beds never really fit him, he never complained but out here was better.

Beth and Kamon-DO take the first watch, with the campfire providing light as the sunlight fades. They hear the cries of the cacophony of crows settling into a nearby tree (fortunately not one that the group is camping under), and other sounds of the day light creatures settling in for the night and the nocturnal creatures rousing. A couple of hours later when the waning but still near full moon rises, howls can be heard. From the sound of it, the wolves are some distance away. And if Thrack is right, they will not be approaching the fire. Still Beth and Kamon-DO watch carefully at the limits of the light, and listen for sounds beyond.
Meanwhile, in Thrack's dreams the howls of the wolves have somehow transformed into the sound of bagpipes…
When the Wolf howls are heard again a couple hours later, they sound even more distant. It is about time to wake the teiflings.
Feel free to elaborate on how your character spends the shift, or how you go about waking the teiflings.

Kamon-DO occasionally adds wood to the fire to keep it going during her shift. It seems to be working to keep the wolves at bay, they can be heard in the distance, but aren't coming close enough to be seen.
I think the plan is to keep the fire going all night, in any case it's definitely going during your shift.

Other than distant howls in the night, the first shift passes uneventfully. Mika and Aegis are woken up to take the next shift.
Rolling perception rolls: Aegis: dnMABEB1p_1-20+2=19 Mika: p_1-20+2=22
Aegis and Mika have much to talk about (quietly) and have no problems keeping each other awake and alert. It is a couple of hours later that they notice some humanoids sneaking up on the camp. They can also hear the whispered conversation between them. "Demons? I'm not going to try and catch demons for slaves. That's a good way to get killed! Only two of them are demons, we can sale the rest."

My apologies for not responding to any of the posts. I was waiting for my character to be woken up.
Sensing the group of slavers approaching their campsite, Aegis looks over to Mika, who had more obviously heard them approach.
"Mika" he whispered, "I'm going to use the log here as a bulwark as I hit them by surprise. Once I do, shout loud enough to wake the camp and I'll try to cover you"
With that, he flopped backwards and pressed his shoulder against the log, peering over it as he aimed. Hopefully he'd get a good shot at them.
A surge of fire shot out of his hand as he pointed to one of the slavers in the front, aiming for the center of his torso
