Shamious moves up to strike at the flank of the gargoyle that had itself flanked Ka'lion - unable to move around it quickly to assist Ka'lion but doing his best to press around as he fights (he can move to Ka'lions side with a 5' step next round but he and Ka'lion would lose flanking) The blade itself leaves little mark but the elemental enchantment seems effective. Ka'lion hacks away with his greatsword visibly damaging the gargoyle but not wounded as deeply as expected, the creatures flesh still seems like stone despite the enchantment of the sword. Shamous has succeeded in gaining the attention of the flanking gargoyle who opens up on him with a flurry of claws, bites, and gores (11 damage) while the flanked Ka'lion manages to avoid most of the attacks save for one particularly nasty bite (9 damage)A combination of the frenzied attack and Shamious's unfamiliarity with the balance of the magical sword almost sees is lost from his grasp as the gargoyle twists and catches it when he strikes again (REF save for Shamious) but Ka'lion seems to be finding his range as while they attack from a multitude of angles the gargoyles do not change position a great deal aiding him in finding the space to swing his greatsword.

[Tag George. Also roll temporary hitpoints for the Aid spell cast last round and decide if he moves to protect Ka'lion or retains his flanking position Note that Ka'lions sword has a critical of 19-20, not 18-20]Pointing out shamious has not had his first turn after the monsters yet. His position in the init order was after the gargoyles - so he waits for their first charges and then acts with the rest of the party, first in order. (the order is effectively now - Monsters_> Shamious-> Ka'lion-> George-> Monsters, etc)

Ka'lions sword is magical that increases the crit range doesn't it? Just a regular +1, though it has legacy properties that Ka'lion can unlock.

Shamious manages to just about hold on to his sword after his ill-timed blow, and considers his next move.
[Tag George - and Shamious needs to decide if he wants to stay in a flanking position or move to a defensive position with Ka'lion]

Ignoring George for the moment the gargoyles continue their attacks - though between Shamious's shield and the lack of benefit from flanking positions and the momentum of the charge they are less effective, though still hurtful. (Shamious 7, Ka'lion 4 - reduced to 1 after DR)

( they are hitting our high ac's? Shamious is at 20 something ac. Ka'lion shoukd be 3 higher then he currently has. Im not sure if those have been factored in or not. If so these things are hitting like a truck.)

( they are hitting our high ac's? They roll 4 attacks each, two at +7 and two at +5 - high enough that the occasional blow gets through. (Ka'lion is also barely armoured and lucky to have not been hit more often - even with his dodge feat and bonus from Shamious he is only AC 19)

George lands a series of heavy blows against the gargoyle drawing its attention away from Shamious, but it's sudden turn throws him off balance as he swings wildly and the sword clatters off the gargoyles hide and down the stairs. The gargoyle fighting Ka'lion is looking decidedly worse for wear and seems to be slowing, but as Ka'lion looks to press the advantage it winds up for one almightly blow that staggers the barbarian backwards (9 damage)The gargoyle fighting George is in somewhat better shape and continues to slash and bite with speed rather than raw power, but finds far less success against George than Shamious (no hits)(extra damage for Ka'lions crit = hLU1mEK8p_1-6p_1-6)[Tag George/Shamious]Has my damage reduction been applied to the rolls? Yes - the gargoyles can barely hurt him with their claws even with the higher strength granted by their template - even with the big special attack it used this round it couldn't break into two digits. If Ka'lion had half decent armour and used his elemental sword he could fight these all day. Note - Ka'lions BAB is +5, not +6 - he has a single attack. I will use his second roll and confirmation roll at +5 for his subsequent actionAm i to understand George will be at +16/+11 to hit given he has flanking? BAB +7, STR +3, Magic +1, Flank +2 = +13/+8. Target is AC191-61-6
