"Same old Ka'lion I see, always looking to prove the facts before you have them." Elman was more the scholarly type, disinterested in the families other activities with animals and history. As a wizard though his bredth of knowledge was impressive and Ka'lion knows he would not have jumped to conclusions easily in this or any matter.

Ka'lion also knows Elman well end up going just to prove he is right. If he doesn't go it shows no confadence in his conclusions. So Ki'lion's won this round. But he'll need to work at it to earn Elman's trust and respect. Something he clearly doesn't have. But as Ka'lion makes no guestures, or sound's to shapeshift and can speak while in animal forms. Those powers are completely unknown to Ka'lion's family. He never had them before.

The night passes peacefully and Primm is ready to leave at dawn, though Elman still seems intent on sleeping in after his long trek in the wilderness and seems confident his findings will be validated.
Vestan is half asleep amongst his late night meal but could be woken, and as Arthur had indicated the camp only had a limited supply of string and pitons but there were several slabs of magically summoned iron nearby that a blacksmith could break up and use for raw materials.

Ka'lion wakes up his party including Elmen. At false dawn Ka'lion has George feed the team and they head out as the sun riases.
What does Ka'lion know about Primm's spellcasting? He talk's with her about her studies while they travel.

Primm explains (and Elman insists Ka'lion read his notes if he is dragging him out) that magical lights in the area respond in a predictable way to magical spells - she had repeatedly tested and recorded responses to a range of magic.
However the lights also change of their own accord and Elman claims to have seen patterns matching those that Primm saw when she cast her spells, suggesting that she may have misidentified random changes as the results of her own actions.

Ka'lion will read Elman's notes but he will drag him out if he need's to to make sure he understands those notes. Ka'lion hates being a bully but without both wizards with him on site he's going to waste a lot of time repeating both of the wizard's actions. While they travel to the site Ka'lion will exspairiment with his animal forms. As a shapeshifter he can change forms 4 times a day and as a druid he can maintain those forms as long as he wants to. That should impress both wizard's if nothing else does about him. Ka'lion has finely touch the goal he set for himself. But only the first step.
"George, name a useful animal of about my size please." said Ka'lion

It takes all day to reach the site though this is somewhat to the groups advantage as the glowing lights are more easy to pick out in darker conditions. George in particular is surprised and pleased by the field of firefly-like magic floating around the trees and mists.
Primms book contains details of different patterns seen when certain spells are cast. The glowing and flickering of the lights seems random and Ka'lion holds the book before him trying to spot the indicated sequences of changes.

Ka'lions hand passes through the light.
Elman notes that they are pure magic, like illusion spells, not creatures acting with any intent.

Primm demonstrates a few simple spells, and with each casting lights in the area move and flicker in a way that can be seen to match her notes - though the timing and positioning vary.
The group then settle down to wait for Elmans claims. After several hours little has changed until suddenly he shouts out "there!" and points towards flickering lights some distance away. Ka'lion only catches the end of the pattern and at some distance but it does look quite a bit like the trailing moments of the display created by a light spell such as the one Primm had demonstrated earlier.

"Magic echo's. That's going to need additional testing." says Ka'lion, "Perhaps it's a delayed reflection of some kind. I'm missing something here. Do we have the liches notes?"

"The lich made no notes on this", states Elman, "in fact he made few notes of any kind"
Primm seems puzzled and wanders over to the site of the changing lights, using a detect magic spell to scan the area for some sign of change. As with the other spells this casting creates its own pattern.

" I do have a different take on this one. But i do see your point.
Ka'lion, u know how i think that why i was silent 4 a bit.
u know that ghost in that tower that could not pass on it was a reflection of what was once a being right ? We all have reflection but not all beings do.
A still pool of water is a natural mirror right? So it can reflect our face but also other things, and shows us a reflection of us but it has to be still water. Yet a vampire do not have a soul so but question is if he looked at a natural pool could it reflect him?
my understanding is no because he has none to reflect.
It is possible These after effects of our spells are not just after effects but they there images slowed down to very core of what a spell mid cast and while its casting looks like. Its like the magic is slowing down for us to see what is defined as, all the colors etc yet each spell different but as defined as the pervious. that we miss in a blink of an eye at full speed. When i toss a rock to your eye sees its in one spot it keeps moving but we see it as one object. But What if what we are seeing is the same spell but it leaves a trail of sorts while it is travelling yet that same spell at full speed we would never see?.

"Your talking about time lapse photography: so I understand your point. But Ka'lion can't he's never seen time lapse photography and without that knowleadge he can't understand your point. Still it suggest time here may extend life on the isles. As far as vampire not being seen in mirrors because they don't have souls. That can't be right because a mirror refects everything else in an area, the chair, walls, the floor, fire, all of it. It's more likely a mirror defense to protect vampires or to prevent them from entering the mirror plane or perhaps to a vampire a mirror in nothing but a doorway of sorts. They can't use."

As Ka'lion and George discuss Primm speaks up, "look there!". She points towards flickering lights but Ka'lion doesn't recognise any sequence.
"That wasn't one of your patterns", observes Elman.
"No", replied Primm, still visibly under the effects of her detect magic spell, "but I thought I saw the casting of a create food spell". She pulls out a notebook as she speaks noting the patterns of the lights as they move. "I've not cast that spell here, have you?"
