Your know its powerfull magic more then you have ever been around other then with temple of Isis so preparing counterspell is most diffently for times like this. She does also know its not isis who is doing so given her power is waning.

The water seams to have too many prperties to evaluate what it could actuly do.

Wind is keeping an eye out for threats. Either from the magical whatsit or elsewhere.

Varis stares at the symbol forming within the water, trying hard to shake the idea of it being god related, while holding his sword at the ready. Everyone always wanted to attribute things to one god or another. Regardless, it seemed they weren't to rest just yet despite felling the big worm. He'd feel much more confident if they were above ground. It'd also help if it was something tangible that he could slash at. Striking a river with his sword just seemed so futile. He really did hate magic.

"Any of you magic users have any ideas? I know how to solve problems one way, and I doubt that'll be much use right now."

As he speaks, Varis glances around the cavern, looking for any signs nearby that might be controlling the magic within the river or any threats that might be closing in on the now distracted group.

It is not the source but she does know there has to be ether a caster or magic objects be that ruins could hold quite a bit but would have to have a few of them. Yet wands, stafes could only hold bits of power so those were not likly the source. So what ever was controlling and using this magic has to be able to have objects to contain such a level.
Yet to also insure i was not deactivated the source would be well hidden. So the water itself looks like an actul forming of the symbol yet would be the manifiestation of such controll/activation.

So yes it to her is manifestation of the power that was well hidden in this location and now also knew there had to be a turn off switch of somekind.

Varis can make out there are 6 onix colored crystals inlayed in the water each look like they could be destroyed if hit with solid hits. Some are in the ice walls of the cave that was broken bybthe rock falls and tremmers of the Moma.

Varis sees a few more rolling inside the water.


It is then a booming voice echos with in the cave.

Callo sizes up the location of the stones and how many her magic could reach from here knowing that an attack might well bring retribution from whatever remained here.

She had seen the power of a god first hand, and some babbling pond would not sway her.

That would be insight to get a full reading on its tone but its harder given its water telling you this and face expresions are not existent.

Yet he did flat out call you and Omar to the mat about being ok with the mass killing defenseless young eggs and that her clerics of nature abondoned her. Your 13 perception tells you its possible there could be danger but not from back up per say the gricks seam to have died with thier mom dead or scampered off. You do see a lot of dead grick bodies however. The cavevitself still unstable with all vibrations and battle and sonic screach.

Yet Nothing seams to be looming within the room other then the water.

Varis couldn't help but chuckle aloud as the voice spoke. Everywhere he went someone was claiming the powers of a god, or claiming the gods would make things right, that they could grant great gifts and power, the list went on. What good were they when the red army controlled all that was? What good were their promises or their supposed power that was no where to be seen in the world? Yet, what if there was truth to it? The power to slay the red king for good at his fingertips, all he need do is accept it. No! He would slay the dragons with or without the aid of anyone, certainly without the aid of some supposed god. His victory would not be shared with the ever power hungry gods. His victory would not be through some gifted magics or strength. He would feel the life leave the red king through his own strength, his own will. The blood would stain his own hands, he feeling every last bit of the dragon's struggle. That was all, there was no alternative for him. Besides, if there was any truth to the words spoken aloud, he could not slay one evil to allow another to step forward in its place. 

Snapping from his thoughts, Varis glances over at his companions, Callo still but ready, Sven and her pet frozen still, unmoving, Omar and Al quiet and in thought. And Wind, stepping forward toward the water. What was going through his mind?

Omar walks with wind in match step when wind is ready . Then Al turns and ceatches up with the rest as they walks next to eachother both of them He gives wind a nod as if to say ill stall more if you need time for your plan?

If he does this next part is delayed until wind does what he is planing.

If wind does not. Then all 3 of our members with vairs if he wishes to with all being 30 ft away then fllowing post happends when party is ready.

If any of the party wishes to do anything else now is the time to do so. Given the stall time each can do an action or prepare one as they did before.

Wind gets about halfway into the water, not hindered because of his spell. He senses the being’s malice and his companions‘ unwillingness to cooperate and understands what he must do. 

Unable to express his true thoughts with his words, he remembers one of the last things another kenku said to him. In the voice of a distraught and exasperated woman, “Do what you need to do. I’ll be fine.”

Hopefully buying the time they needed....

Wind poops in the water, and starts to laugh as hearty of a dwarvish laugh as anyone’s ever heard.

Varis nods at Al as he speaks, saying nothing, but mulling the words over in his mind as he walked forward with the others. As Wind steps into the water, he rushes forward to be in position to break one of the crystals in the blink of an eye if needed. Nothing down here was going to prevent them making it back to the surface. Looking back at the others to make sure they were of like mind, there was no missing just what Wind was doing in the water. Laughing aloud, he speaks.

"That is all that your offer is good for, pond. Now do be quiet so we can move on with our day."

(I will hold my attack action, swinging either for one of the crystals (or two if they are near enough for my multiattack, but I doubt they are) or if something unexpected begins to rise from the water.)
