[glow=red,2,300]Physical Description[/glow]Zadin is a handsome human with an ageless face. He is young, but it is difficult to put an age to him. He has deep blue eyes, and a beautiful smile. His white hair is short and messy, but even that seems to add a charm to his features. He has a slender build, and while he doesnt seem to be very strong, he carries himself well, with a great amount of grace.
Zadin wears brown cuffed boots, brown breeches, a green vest over a tan shirt, and a brown hooded cloak, although he keeps his cloak down. He carries his quarterstaff like a walking staff. He wears a silver medallion around his neck, bearing his name, along with a strange arcane symbol.
[glow=red,2,300]Background[/glow]The raid had just ended, with the orcs running away from the town. Alyse, a rogue, was searching some of the dead bodies, trying to find something of value, when she heard crying from an alley about 30 feet down. When she looked in the corner, what she saw took her breath away. A bloody body, dressed in what once were beautiful noble clothes, was covering a small bundled child.
"The mother shielded her child from the orcs attack." Alsye though to herself. She was about to turn around, when rain started to fall, and the child started to cry again. Something motherly struck her in the back of her mind. She tried to ignore it, but the feeling persisted. She walked over to the child and picked him up. Around his neck hung a small silver medalion, with a strange arcane symbol, and the words "Zadin al'Dare"
As Zadin grew, not only did he show an affinity for activities around Dagger's Peak, the rogue encampment at the foot of the mountain in which his mother brought him to, such as shooting his crossbow, and incredible endurance, but he also began to show magic prowess. After setting a hut on fire simply because he was angry at its inhabitants, he realized that he needed to learn to control these powers. He secretly seeked out a Rogue Sorcerer and apprenticed himself. Difficult as it was to keep this from his family and friends, he maintained focus and determination to his studies.
...16 years later from that fateful night...
Zadin looked at his mother as she handed him the medalion. All he could think was, "Who am I?" As he had grown up, he showed an incredible affinity for the arcane arts, and Alyse had found him many times studying with the scholars in the Mage tower at the edge of town. Tears filled his eyes as he asked her what she knew of his mother.
As Alsye told him of the night his real mother died and he was discovered, nothing but hate filled his mind. Hate for evil.
Thoughts raged through his head. One thought was certain. The only peace he had was when he was practicing his magic. He decided to use his magic to destroy evil in the world. He set out with only his meager possessions, to hunt evil.
Along his travels, he wandered through the borders of Thoyowood. There he found a raven, badly wounded, lying on the ground. Not to be one to leave a helpless creature alone, he takes the raven to an elven wizard, who heals the creature. The wizard offered to link the sorcerer and the raven as Master and Familiar. The raven, even of limited intelligence, recognized Zadin as the one who saved its life, and so readily agreed to the proceedure. After working off the debt to the wizard through various means, Zadin, and his new friend Max the Raven, set out to find adventure. Living in the Thoyowood granted Max the ability to understand the Elven language.
Max is no fool though. Max will sit perched on Zadin's shoulder, but should trouble arise, he will waste no time burrowing into Zadin's backpack, giving him full cover. Zadin has a difficult time asking Max to make any type of attacks because Max will never forget his near-death experience.
