(Fort save: +8. Re-roll as per Luck domain power if failure.) Graak dashes over to Elxethan, sliding slightly as he stops due to his great bulk. He is too unbalanced at the moment to swing his sword right away, but knows that getting in close will hamper the wizard greatly. (Yes, that's the spell I meant. Running to put Elxethan within 5 ft, and thus draw spellcasting AoOs, as well as threat-range AoOs if he leaves. Remember his Reach. On such an AoO, Graak will Focus and use his Strength domain power, Power Attacking for two, making the attack +12 attk 2d6+13 dmg. It's cool about the LOS thing.)

(If I hit w/the ray, though, you can't run, man. You'll either be fatigued or exhausted by then, and neither of those allow you to run or charge.)

(I thought Fort actually negated, but you're absolutely right. Cancel the re-roll on the save, and change the run to a casting of Silence on you, DC 15, and a 5ft step to the west- if you hit. ;D)

{Sorry for the delay, things are really really busy here at work} Quickly moving closer to his enemy Elxethan weaves the arcane magics at his beck into a black beam that streaks forward at the hulking Graak. {12 vs 8, success} The beam strikes Graak and his body tries repelling the strange effect {Fort Save 14 vs 17, fail} but it is no use. As if hit with a massive blow Graak’s movements feel slow and sodden. His muscles don’t react the way he wants them to, and his body all but crashes to a slow crawl. {Fatigued –6 to Str and Dex, movement halved; should make your current Stats Str 14, Dex 2} (Maybe you should have used that re-roll afterall ) Cursing his luck the enlarged Graak steps clumsily forward, one step closer to his foe. Calling upon the might of Kord he calls down magic against the little wizard that drained the strength from his bones. {Will Save 18 vs 15, success} Although dampened for a moment the wizard shakes the effect and stands ready for his next action. ========================= Initiative remains the same: Elxethan (25), Graak (16) _______________________ /-----------------------\ /-------------------------\ /------------(-)------------\ /-----------------------------\ /-------------------------------\ /---------------------------------\ /-----------------------------------\ /-------------------------------------\ /----------[=]-------------[=]----------\ /-----------------------------------------\ |-----------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------| |------------------[===]------------------| |---(-)------------[===]------------(-)---| |------------------[===]----E-------------| |-----------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------| |----------------------GG-----------------| \----------------------GG-----------------/ \----------[=]-------------[=]----------/ \-------------------------------------/ \-----------------------------------/ \---------------------------------/ \-------------------------------/ \-----------------------------/ \------------(-)------------/ \-------------------------/ \-----------------------/ \_____________________/

Elxethan will cast cat's grace on himself, then move two squares E and two squares S.
(Wow! I guess the dice just liked me that round...
Also, wasn't his AC 8 before? There's a -1 to AC for being Large, IIRC.)

Yawning with sudden lethargy, Graak shuffles over to the pesky wizard. (Double Moving to get him in threat range. If you want to retract that move it's OK, but if you don't you'll provoke a focused, Domain Powered AoO for +11 atk 2d6+7 dmg, re-roll a miss.)

(I go first, dude...by the time you threaten where I am NOW, I'll be out of there. And you move @ half speed, so you can't reach my new location either.)

(Ah yes, I forgot about that refocusing. However, with my happy 10ft reach I can still move to threaten where you are after that move.)

(Uh...no. I'm currently 20 ft. E of you, and I'll have moved 10 ft E from there, putting me 30 ft. E. You can move 15 if you take a double move, and you threaten 10 ft, so I'll be 5 ft. out of your reach.)

(..true. We need a real map. New action: move 7.5 ft east and ready a healing spell in case of a damaging spell.)

{Not alot to report here, sorry for my long delay, it's been quite busy here at work (last week was only a 46 hour work week).} ========== The already agile wizard quickly pulls out a pinch of material component, and completes his spell with a flourish. His movements become more graceful and elegant, moving with posturing that he had not posessed a moment before ( Cats Grace). Quickly he moves backward from his lumbering opponent, dancing just beyond the large warrior's reach. Graak shuffles forward (single move 1/2 of 15 = 7.5 round down per 5 ft steps) and readies himself to cast a spell if his nimble opponent sends a damaging spell in his direction. ===== Initiative remains the same: Elxethan, Graak. _______________________ /-----------------------\ /-------------------------\ /------------(-)------------\ /-----------------------------\ /-------------------------------\ /---------------------------------\ /-----------------------------------\ /-------------------------------------\ /----------[=]-------------[=]----------\ /-----------------------------------------\ |-----------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------| |------------------[===]------------------| |---(-)------------[===]------------(-)---| |------------------[===]------------------| |-----------------------------------------| |-----------------------GG----E-----------| |-----------------------GG----------------| \-----------------------------------------/ \----------[=]-------------[=]----------/ \-------------------------------------/ \-----------------------------------/ \---------------------------------/ \-------------------------------/ \-----------------------------/ \------------(-)------------/ \-------------------------/ \-----------------------/ \_____________________/

If anyone has a better and easier idea for a function map, I'd like to hear it. KMan uses the same technique for his maps, yet I've heard no complaints towards them.}

{Yes, you will live, because he's only attacking your weapon} Tkaing a step North, Elxethan pulls forth his crossbow, loosing a bolt at his overlarge opponent. {Atk Roll 16 vs 13, success} With a twang the bolt flies true, grazing the large warrior's thigh, little more than a scratch really {2 Dam}. Shuffling forward Graak brings his massive sword to bear on the wizard's crossbow. {Sunder: 24 vs 16, Success}The enlarged greatsword smashes into the small crossbow {For refrence your enlarged sword deals 3d6 damage (p 114 PHB, Table 7-4)} completely obliterating the ranged weapon {15 dam}. with a shocked look Elxethan's eyes widen and he looks at the ground thanking his lucky stars that the attack wasnt aimed at him. =============== Initiative remains the same: Elxethan, Graak. _______________________ /-----------------------\ /-------------------------\ /------------(-)------------\ /-----------------------------\ /-------------------------------\ /---------------------------------\ /-----------------------------------\ /-------------------------------------\ /----------[=]-------------[=]----------\ /-----------------------------------------\ |-----------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------| |------------------[===]------------------| |---(-)------------[===]------------(-)---| |------------------[===]------------------| |--------------------------GG-E-----------| |--------------------------GG-------------| |-----------------------------------------| \-----------------------------------------/ \----------[=]-------------[=]----------/ \-------------------------------------/ \-----------------------------------/ \---------------------------------/ \-------------------------------/ \-----------------------------/ \------------(-)------------/ \-------------------------/ \-----------------------/ \_____________________/

Tossing (dropping, if you prefer) the mangled wreck of wood to the ground in disgust, Elxethan withdraws east 40 ft.

Graak shakes his head. "You can't kill me with what's left of your spells. I can't catch you in this armor, and with your exhausting spell on me. Want to call this a draw?"
