Concerned that hidden forces may be at work in the place, Mal casts See invisibility. Looking around [spot=20; pass], Mal spots something skulking down the passage way branching off towards D14. It resembles a tall ghoul like creature with wicked talons and claws. It seems that it does not know you can see it as it carries its paralyzed prey - Tender over its shoulder almost casually. The look of shear terror still frozen on his face, his eyes dart across you all hoping he may be spotted. [assuming you all follow it] Mal, relaying what you see to the others, you scurry off after it. Entering the cavern, you can clearly see the cause of the horrific stench. The recently stripped skeletons of several humanoids lie scattered about the chamber, rotting. Their gear seems piled randomly like it was torn off the prized meat. You are confronted by the ghoul like creature hovering over the body of Tender. Its drools and salivates dripping over Tender's face. It looks up at you all as you enter and snarls at you. It crouches, ready to attack... OK, this is how i have it (with no Akatas i'm afraid but Lusione is still there). Init: Lusione (27), Maurezhi (21), Coppertop (7), Mal (7), Ewan (5) Map /------- | | | | | | ___ ------- |___/ \ C E | L M TZ | ------- ___ | | \ \ / | | \__/ | / \____/
Map Key [/b] L = Lusione C = Coppertop M = Mal E = Ewan T = Tender Z = Maurezhi (70/70) [/size][/pre]

Mal will surely cast his own spell once he can. He first tries to figure out this creature and its tendencies.... Knowledge Arcana +14 [dice=20]
He will move out of this creatures range, should he be threatened before casting. "This shouldn't take too long..." he mumbles, knowing that the large warrior should be able to deal with this threat quickly enough. He instead sees that Tender is there, at this creatures mercy, and it boils Mal's blood to think that they so easily could have lost the little one. No, this creature would surely pay for its actions...
He lets the pearl roll in his fingers, toying with the thought of what was about to happen. He usually reserved these for other times, but he was out of practice, as it had been too long from the last time he was able to cast this spell. It always gave him a rush... Mobile Casting to cast and move as standard action.
[dice=20]+21, DC24
The pearl erupts into a 2 foot radius of air, as Mal moves to get a nice shot at this creature. Mal hurls the air at his mark, hoping that it's extra little properties can come into play here. Ranged Touch Attack, [dice=20]+8 to hit=19 Touch Attack, SR applies if the creature has it
IF it hits: The power of the hit causes its own damage, as it plows into the creature.[dice=6][dice=6][dice=6]=12 damage, no save
Then, if the creature is hit with the ball of air and takes damage, it is knocked PRONE, DC 20 Fort Save to NOT be knocked Prone. If it saves, then nothing else happens...
If it FAILS this Fort Save and is knocked prone, then it needs a second Fort Save, DC20 Fort Save, or be knocked [dice=8]x10'= 60 feet into the air (if the cavern is not that high, then it takes damage from hitting the cieling, and then falling damage as it falls back to the ground, 1d6 Hexes in a random direction is where it lands as well.... Falling damage = 1d6 per 10 feet fallen.
OOC - Defenstrating Sphere, you gotta love this spell!!! Although, it costs Mal 100 gp pearl each time he casts it, it's worth it!!![rand=965277769582672803181894617335298949792823236121815692159229071]

Sorry, I should of said. The Maurezhi is visible to all in the cavern. It ended the spells on Tender and itself once it thought it was safe in its cavern.

Not knowing what happened to their companion Coppertop starts by identifying the attacker. If he knew how this creature attacked, he could assist the Rogue.
{i'm not sure which one applies, so I'll drop all of them}
Knowledge (arcana) +12 [dice=20]
Knowledge (history) +7 [dice=20]
Knowledge (religion) +12 [dice=20]
Knowledge (planes) +7 [dice=20]
{Since Atakas is gone, I'm officially our light source, so I'll hold the spell that's illuminating us and go from there.}
Coppertop's priority is Tender. If the monster leaves the rogues side and a path is clear Coppertop will hustle to his companion's side and assess his conditon.

Ewan sees the evil being that his nose warmed him of. It was a hunter, but it violated the second law of the hunter: Creatures that speak are friends or enemies, but never food. Ready to take action, the bulky white-furred creature seeks to remove Tender from danger, by making the source of the danger go far away. His shoulder is his weapon for this, if this creature had reason it would lick his wounds and go home.
[charging bull rush +16]
[If the spell prones the creature, Ewan will hover over his body and threaten (readied attack) if he is aggressive]

Unsure of what this creature is but quite certain that it is not a friend, Lusione raises her bow and takes aim, hoping that her arrows will have an effect here.
