3 - 001 - The Chasm of Szith Morcane

Ewan climbs down the rest of the rop onto the floor and hefts his tower shield just as a rain of Drow crossbow bolts beat down upon him (readied action). [3 attacks versus AC34; no hits] The small bolts patter off the tower shield ineffectually. Abs drops down silently behind Ewan.

You have dropped into a small cave with a tunnel that leads off and around to your right. Past the tunnel mouth, your gaze is drawn to a hideous creature that stands before you by an up-turned table, At first glance, appearing as another Drow, it is only when you eyes re-adjust to the darkness fully that you realise what it is. This creature is or at least was Drow in life, but now it stands before you with not a shred of skin on its body. Its muscles gleam and ooze blood. Fixing its eyes upon the closest target it clenches its fist and lets out a low snarl. Behind the up-turned table crouch five drow warriors. Three can be sen reloading crossbows. Further behind the table is the form of the Drow mage. He stares straight into your eyes sporting a malicious smile.

Quick as a flash, Abs draws back the string on his bow and lets fly with an arrow straight at the skin-less creature.

The arrow strikes it fully in the chest burning with holy fire and psionic force sending it reeling.

Lusione casts haste, centred on herself (catching everyone) and descends the rope (i assume). She then casts the stone into the cave lighting the area once again. The Drow hiss and snarl at the light source. Coppertop calls upon Moradin to grant fast healing to his friends. Tender readies himself and refocuses, ready to descend first next round and help.

The skin-less creature advances upon Ewan and slams its fist into him. Ewans tower shield proves too strong for it though and the blow is easily deflected.

Finally, Mal peers down the hole and weaves his hands casting Greater Invisibility on Ewan. The form of Ewan shimmers momentarily then disappears.

OK, those I have in the cave with the Drow are: Ewan, Abs and Lusione while Tender, Coppertop and Mal are above in the small tunnel way. Let me know if thats correct.

Mal would have to touch Ewan to deliver the spell. To do so, since he was hasted, Mal could easily cast the spell, then let his familiar rat deliver the touch spell to Ewan, as it has a climb speed and can deliver touch spells now.

For now, he waits, assessing the situation below, letting his familiar warn him of anything that would need to be dealt with. (Holding action until next round's FIRST initiative, so that he can do what he needs to.)

Satisfied that the bear would finish the “thing”, Absalom turns his attention to the wizard. He holds his position and fires his bow with even more uncanny speed, bolstered by Copper’s spell.

[4 shots at the wizard (who has cover). He’ll go for #5 then W if he drops the wiz before the arrows all fly or if he disappears before my turn.
