Yeah, my awesome +1 will save should be interesting. While Shake's bard may have a nice new ranger friend the social out casts may have a nice half orc meat shield. I love picking on huge barbarians with low will saves. It makes things so fun.

Alright...lots of talk about it, I think the game should begin soon! (I know I already said the 4th, but I've been caught up in trying to photo-chop my original map.) Has everyone completed their PCs/Backgrounds/Item Purchase etc?
Look for the first game post to come tomorrow or the next day. I'm excited!

OOC - I would like to use poison, and what do I have to do to get that ability? Craft Poison making? If so, let me know so I can dump some ranks in it. Either way, I would like my traps to be a little more 'potent'

Craft: Poisonmaking is correct. Japic sent me a cool ol' chart with all the Poison DCs and effects which I can send to you tomorrow (don't have it on me here).
Don't forget Artisan's Tools for whatever craft you have. Very important.

Already got the tools, Yeah, Trapmaking and Poisonmaking go hand in hand!!! I do have that chart, as its in the complete adventurer book, but at home.. not with me...

Don't forget that there is always the chance to poison yourself when applying poison. The only way around it (to my knowledge) is to have the Poison Use class ability, granted by the Assasin's PrC. The SRD has this to say: Just something to remember. I just found that a poison section has been added to the SRD as well... the whole damn table. And here I went and made my own.

Just drink a gallon of antitoxin before you start your day. making it a feat is fair enough if you're going to be heavy into poison use and don't want to fall prey yourself.

If only the stuff worked for longer than an hour or whatever it is. Still a 5% chance isn't much, beware the Nat 1s though.

I would like to take a look at it, so that I can carry some if possible. I would like to also take a feat that allows a re-roll, so that in case I DO roll that Nat 1 or fail a save fro the poison.

On point one I found it under "Natural and Special Abilities" it'll talk about poison and the types and then there should be a table a bit lower down. I can't link to the on line SRD since my work blocks it. When in doubt use their search function; that's how I stumbled across it yesterday. Point two; aside from the clerical luck domain and a few items that will allow you to reroll any d20 I only know of one Feat that might be able to help; though only for re-rolling a saving throw. It could save you from the repercussions, if not the deed. Guardian Spirit from the Complete Arcane allows you to reroll initiative rolls 2 times a day and a saving throw once per day. For attack rerolls there's a luckblade (+2 shortsword) which provides a +1 to all saves and allows you to reroll one roll a day. Can also carry wishes. Cost is between 22k and 143k depending on wish availability. If you can afford it it might be worth it, but only for attack rolls like the nat 1 that poisoned you. Also the Wish spell does allow a reroll; though that seems a lowly thing to ask in exchange for 5k XP.
