1 - 018: The Rage of Engels

Stone rushes the nearest truck, running through the hole that the gigantic Billy left behind. He closes to one of the transports and finds it unlocked with keys in the ignition.

Daniel calmly walks towards the Germans, his body giving off the soft Amber glow. Frightened, a few seem to take his threat to heart and understand enough English to comply. Many others still run for the now open gate, just doing anything they can to get away from the horrors of the American soldiers. {WILL Save = Germans 25, 39, 44, 35 and 14 Surrender.}

Billy rushes the man to his North, but ends up throwing an awkward punch. [Attack Results = Miss] The German shows no sign of returning the punch, lest the man turn into a giant once more.

Jeremy remains in the tank, having difficulty getting it running. [No Post]

There are more shots fired from the Northeast side of the camp, the 81st doing their job. Some more Germans die, struck by bullets from a well-placed ambush. Others only catch grazing shots, managing to limp through the alleys of tents in their retreat.

However, what catches your ears is the sounds of one of the men from the 81st shouting into the night. "What they hell was that? Hey "[/b] You recognize the man as Seargant Johnston. "Captain!? What the hell was that?"[/b]

Hall moves with Stone, rushing the truck. [No Post]

Clemente melts into the night again, reappearing within the tank moments later. He find Jeremy struggling with the controls and offers help to a very surprised Jeremy.

The Germans continue to spread out, most heading for the gates and into the night beyond without care for how they do it. Most drop their guns, others hold onto them as though they will save their lives. None of the shots are well-placed, none hit their mark. The one before Billy throws his arms out, drops his weapons and falls to his knees.

This battle is over...

Billy draws his firearm and takes the german into custody, prisoners would provide useful information. He does not comment on what happened to him, nor the feelings or emotions he felt, he would sort them out for himself when time was available.

Stone starts the truck and backs it toward the voice of the 81st's sergeant. He was glad they were alive and planned to send them off with a truck of their own now that they'd routed the Nazis. Besides, he needed to give Daniel a little more time to gather his own troops...

With the battle largely over, Daniel assesses the situation. No obvious casualties from the Iron Regents, perhaps one with the 81st. "Hall, get to the 81st. Treat any injuries. Billy, help me over here."

He corrals the remaining Germans together, kicking weapons away and procuring a few grenades to replace the Captain's stash. When the Germans are routed or confined to one tent together, Daniel nods - hopefully somebody from the 81st is within earshot. "Plenty of trucks to pick from here! I recommend disabling any that won't be taken, and destroying or taking any armaments."

Daniel also checks around for radios. He'll make sure the truck has one or they have one onhand, and will then disable any others, to keep the Germans from conveniently calling in others. They might fear the strange powers of the Regents, but they will likely not fear the 81st.

[Basically, Daniel rounds up the prisoners together, procures any weapons/supplies, and disables anything they're leaving behind - trucks, radios, weapons.]

Jolith hasn't posted in about two weeks, TTC is awol, and Deekin hasn't posted in about a week either, and about two weeks since his last game post...

[Yeah. Troublingly, all three of them tend to be enthusiastic about new games, and so the sudden absence of all three has had a rather brutal impact on the boards. XCrawl has suffered for it as well, and Dark Sun to a lesser extent. Just a bad time all around.

I still really dig this game, but I could understand wanting to discontinue or open it up for replacement players. The three left are not well suited to being a diversified team. We lost most of our specialists with the loss of those three - the rest of us are just muscleheads. Well, Billy and Daniel more than Stone, but still.]
