{A little over a day. You crashed in the early AM and drove most of the day to the camp you stole this truck from. I'd say around 22-26 hours since you crashed.}
{You are coming to the airfield because the manifest on the downed plane indicated it was part of convoy headed towards Berlin. The amber in one plane, you in the other. It is the closest thing to a lead you've got right now.}
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Spot Checks] There are many soldiers the closer you get to the city. Some load materials from factories into transports, others form tight regiments that pile into larger transports. All gears in the machine moving as one. A collection of lights to the West, away from the city has your interest; a few spotlight and the unmistable pinpoints of lights that form airplane wings.
The airfield is not that far off.
Stone throws the truck in gear and the thing lurches forward. It rumbles over the rough road, bouncing here and there as if to tip over. Clearly this road was not meant to be travelled as they've made no effort to repair it from the bombings. No more than a few seconds after you leave do spotlights swirl over your location from the city.
A short sigh of relief escapes your lips.
You drive the truck towards the airfield in the distance, slowing only when you get close enough to draw in details. About two dozen small fighter planes, three to four times as many big bombers and nearly twenty transport-only planes. This is a very large airfield with many planes...and many people around those planes. Despite being the dead of night, the field bustles with activity. You spot easily over 50 men milling out, affized to the underside of a wing or driving fuel trucks around. A few large hangars are settled near the rear of the airfield, some full of planes in various states of disassembly. The whole complex is surrounded by razor wire and fencing, a double layer with ten feet of open space between. Two guards towers at either end keep watch over the neutral area.
This road does not lead to the airfield, but instead takes a sharp curve further West away from Berlin. Your choices are to either drive the truck through a darkened field, or get out and walk...

Clement survey's the airfield.
"So captain, what's the plan."

"We need information, Private, and our best option right now is the airfield. Can you pull your stunt again and get us into one of those hangers? We need to interrogate a Nazi or three without alerting the whole compound."
{Proposed plan is to drive the truck into a portal to a hanger that appears to have its doors shut.}

While Stone talks to Clemente about another teleport, Storm tries to peer at the airfield through binoculars, trying to make out certain details. He checks to see if any hangars seem more closely guarded than others, or more closely attended to. The shipment would have arrived many hours ago, and he doubts the Reich would be slack with moving their precious cargo. The amber may not even be at the airfield anymore, but if it is, it will probably not be there for long.
His only hope is that they strove to move it only in the dead of night, in which case they might be there just in time. Or that the other plane crashed as well...
He scours the airfield, looking for anything out of the ordinary.

{Clemente? Any rules to your teleport I need to know or will you just make it happen? Power Surge results?}
{I will also address Storm's spot results here}
[Spot Check]
There are about seven hangarson the airfield. Two are small, able to hold no more than two of the single-man fighter planes you've seen in your days. The doors to these hangars are open, and currently the hangars are empty. Two more hangars are large enough for big planes, but their doors are open and they are also empty.
Of the remaining three with closed doors, one certainly does catch your attention. It is not eye-catching for decoration or markings, but because its main doors are guarded by six armed guards. Light seeps through the small cracks in the hangar doors, occasionally eclipsed by movement within. Just by watching the hangar for a few seconds, you can tell it is bustling with activity inside, all behind closed doors and armed guards...
Features of note elsewhere on the airfield are four large tanker trucks designed to run fuel from the depot to the planes. Two of these are currently moving down a line of small fighter planes--about 20 or so--fueling each on in turn. The other two sit idle near the large planes, perhaps having already finished the job. There are numerous large planes, ranging from bombers to full blown paratrooper transports.
All planes are currently idle, though rumbling overhead leads you to believe more will be joining their ranks soon.
The guard towers at either end of the airfield are only slightly shorter than a third tower, presumably where the planes are guided in by radio. You can make out four guards in each tower, armed with spotlights and large caliber rifles capable of accurate shots anywhere within sight of the airfield. All guards are currently active, but doing little beyond occasionally looking out into the darkened fields. There is another large structure near the control tower, presumably the barracks of the men that are stationed here.
All in all, a pretty important and busy airfield. It makes sense this close to the heart of the Reich.

Having set his sights on the likliest candidate, Daniel signals to Stone. "Captain. Look here--I think that's where they'll be, if anywhere." He offers the binoculars and directs Stone to the hangar in question.
In turn, they'll probably tell Clemente.
"Lots of activity there, though. Should we go to one of the others and try to sneak in, or just jump in?" Storm, too, has been feeling strangely invincible, like nothing can touch him.

"A little distraction could be useful," Billy says as he points to a tanker.

"Anyone got a spare grenade?"
When handed one, Clemente will wait for the fuel truck to stop, open a small portal into it, arm the grenade, drop it through, close the portal, and sit back and enjoy the fireworks.

[By the way, Kman, I think we've all forgotten where the Surge rules are, and when to make the rolls. If you could put something up in the Handouts section for reference, that'd make it a little easier.]
