SEA GREEN
Those on/near the wall -
The Stone giant studies Gro-Bug when he stands, granite eyes looking for an ounce of mistruth, a reason to hurl this boulder that is half-cocked in his arms. But as promised, the giant listens in peace to Gro-Bug's words. The giant stands silent for a moment once Gro-Bug is done.
[In Common]
"Our enemy is common." The giant rumbles in your tongue, eyes narrowing. "The humans are our enemy. Lands pure for eons are now tainted. Truces have been broken."
Stubborn giants.
"If you speak truth about this 'Master', then the city is safe. But no human will ever near giant lands again."
So much for getting the artifact easily.
The giant stands down, lowering the boulder, but he does not step away. Perhaps this creature is still mistrusting and has not fully bought your tale. The hill giants mill about restlessly, stretching their arms and passively swinging their clubs, lammenting the lost chance of battle.
It appears that though the giant's have temporarily ceased hostilities, they do not plan to let up on the siege any time soon. Madrigal pushes himself up ever so slightly, just enough to look over the walls.
"Well...it's better than them throwing the rocks at us."
Those within the city -
[Spot Checks]
From out here, you can't really tell much of the giants, except that they are large enough to be seen over a twenty foot wall. The Stone giants are larger than the hill giants, but all are fearsome in their own right. None of them--that you can tell--bear visible marks of 'The Master', but that is not to say that answer is definitive.
After a short dialogue, the Stone giant speaking to Gro-Bug stands down. The men on the rampart look relieved, but the giant does not lumber away or make an effort to look very friendly.
It seems things are going relatively well...
DARK RED
Wanderer -
Illyianna frowns not stopping her advances.
"Is it customary to refuse such heart-felt gifts in your lands?" Her sour mood is evident in her tone. "I speak with all honesty when I say that you are lying Wanderer. What you have done is not what any person would do, decent or otherwise. You have done more for me in the past day than has been given to me in my whole life."
"It is not your fault, but your fate that tragedy befell my inn. Without it, we would have never collided in the night like passing stars."
She presses forward, pushing her body against yours. It is only the smooth stroke of her hair that finally causes her some pause, the gesture of meangingful contact enough to make her pause. She sighs and lets her head collapse against your chest, a full-length sigh escaping her lips. She lifts her eyes to meet yours.
"I don't know if I'll ever feel safe around anyone else." Still nude and pressed against you, she lets her hands fall into yours.
"Would you at least settle for a kiss?"
Gildas, Tyrano, Lief and Horace -
You pause at the edge of the glade when you do not see what Horace's mate chases. She emerges from the river in a frenzy, her half-human form giving her great speed towards something apparently only she can see in the dark. The moon gives some illumination, but not enough to penetrate the thick woods opposite the river...perhaps her quarry lies within?
Horace wastes no time and thunders ahead, calling to his mate. Lief waits the few precious seconds for Gildas and Tyrano to decide to split, before offering to be the mount once more. Tyrano spurs Lief on, charging headlong into the river.
Gildas turns and heads back through the woods, heart pumping blood ferociously in his chest.
{Gildas, you will return to camp in approx 5 rounds.}
{Tyrano, Horace will overtake his mate in the next post, just let me know if you want to do anythign special or just hang on for the ride.}
LENNY -
The two were-horses thunder on, unaware that the rider has fallen from their backs. They press on towards New Ravenshead as though a devil were on their heels. They leave a trail of dust, only briefly looking over their shoulders to see what happened to you. Your last glimpse of them is a nod of approval at your defiance of the shadow.
Hopefully they will return with help.
The devil that was on their heels slows, moving close to you. His minions surround you, forming a circle around your weakened body. Vorkal closes the circle, a thin wisp of white ash forming a wicked smile on his otherwise featureless face. He knows you're too weak to move--even if you remain defiant.
As with before, the Shadow points a finger at a nearby stick and begins to write our words with it, making an attempt to communicate one last time. The words form before you slowly,
ROGUE WILL HELP OR FAMILY & FRIENDS WILL DIE[/i]
{I'm leaving up the map and init order, though technically the action of Vorkal 'speaking' takes longer than one round.}
[Initiative Order (NOT WORKING ON INIT RIGHT NOW): Shadows (15), Vorkal (12), Lenny (11)]
