Deciding to press on, you hire horses to speed your journey. Folk wish you well as you leave Twin Forks. The bandits Lothar left behind to harry you have been scattered, and in turn you have done the village and surrounding lands a good deed. Thanks and wishes of good speed follow you as you head out onto the road. Colvin is three days' ride from here.
Nothing interrupts your camp, and you pass scarce few people on the road, all move heavily armed than you would expect in the rural areas closer to Cambridge. It seems Lothar and his bandits have impacted the lands in a regrettable way. By tracking the shiv down and scattering his accomplices, you are doing more than just closing in on the information you require. It's been a while since any of you did some cleaning up by hand, and it feels good to be on the road together again.
On the second day out of Twin Forks, you meet some merchants on the road moving towards Colvin. On spotting them you close as quickly as possible, aware that Lothar may be using them as cover, or at the very least, that the merchants may have been passed by him recently or seen him elsewhere nearby.
Crom, with his impressive armour, chiselled northern looks, and old-line regal voice, does the talking for the party.

The merchants are positively honoured to speak to the party, and tell you the man you are looking for may well have shared the camp only the night before.
"He kept himself to himself, sat close by the fire, and didn't seem to sleep well. We were glad to have him nearby with all the bandits in the area, as he looked as if he could handle a sword well. Some of the party thought the guard were after him by his behaviour, which now makes alot of sense meeting you on his tail!"
"He rode on ahead this morning, travelling light astride a fast horse."
You thank the merchants, (but not before taking the chance to purchase anything you want at 50% PHB price) and ride on in haste.

When you arrive in Colvin at the end of your third day on the ride, you are struck by how wealthy the coastal village looks, considering its economic foundation of fishing. There is some extra trade at work here it seems. You make a mental note to have it looked into.
You find a steaming horse tethered outside the Lee Shore Tavern, and head inside. The bartender, Arnold, can smell your gold.
"Aye, aye, Lothar, I know of him," he says, doing his best to keep this apparent transgression quiet from the dark, smoky bar's other patrons, "and I'll tell you all I know for a hundred gold."
Arnold rises an eyebrow, questioning your commitment to the deal.
