Initiative order (Crom 1, Matrox 6, Water Elemental 10) (even with adjustments for slippery footing, the elemental would still go last).
Goran, you flail helplessly in the vicious sea as you are bashed against the side of the ship and sucked down with no chance for breath, over, and over, and over.. you do your best to hold your breath, and feel around you for a rope, for anything to grab on to.
Goran, CON check: [dice=20], pass.
Check for random item loss this round: [dice=100], no loss.
You manage to stay concious until you grab a piece of flotsam that has been torn from the Uneven Keel. Popping your head above water for a second or two, you give Shay and Nimar the chance they were looking for to throw a rope to you. Soon enough you are hauled aboard.
Dalien, you steady yourself on some rigging and ready yourself to throw a rope to anybody that goes overboard, or comes sliding past on the upturned deck.
Crom, you utter no words to your foe as you press your final assault. Torden bites deep, twice, each time a torrent of water blasts from the creature's form like a geyser errupting, and then there is nothing.
The elemental banished, the skies clear rapidly and as the swell dies down the Uneven Keel slowly rights itself. Some men thrown overboard are recovered, only three are unaccounted for, knocked out and drowning no doubt.
The Captain is shaken. Morale check: [dice=20], pass.
"Avast ye dogs!", he yells, finding his composure, "We've a swine to catch so get to it! Sails up! Away!"
With the elemental banished so quickly, the ship is still in good enough condition to give chase, and soon enough, you are bearing down on Lothar's tiny fishing vessel.
Shay, you lassoo the rig and pull it in. A torrent of ropes then fly from the Uneven Keel to pull the fleeing rogue's ship in closer and hold it tight underbow.
Lothar, if it's him, wears a cloak and sits calmly with his possessions on deck, surrounded by stinking crab cages and musseled nets.
He looks up as his boat knocks aship.
"Ahoy there my wetland friends," he sneers, "do come aboard, please, I was just preparing some refreshments. What a pleasant day, isn't it!?"[rand=7917847630336367438169013009507562580612472930535629348248321941]
