{Loosening the ropes was illustrative of the fact that nobody took a decisive action last post, I thought you needed prompting as I wasn't clear on whether you were prepared to fight or not - Lothar was testing you.}
As Lothar loosens a rope or two the party positively bristles with threat. Arrows are knocked, mages step forward, even the awesome Crom flexes himself, his armour creaking in the process like an iron tree bowing in a gale.
"Very well," Lothar says, raising his hands and stepping away from the ropes, "If you want my help it's four days' journey, and then perhaps I can offer you something to aid you, in return for my freedom?"
He eyes you all carefully, seeing what news of Dragon Mountain may be worth to you. "I have a map." A glint enters his eye as he plays the card and studies your reactions.
Lothar doesn't seem too bothered at being called a liar by Shay, but responds well to Matrox's suggestion that he go along with the party and be questioned.
Mel is worried at the turn of events. "Slay him now or he'll be the end of you!" he cries, looking between you and pointing down at the smaller boat. Beads of sweat are forming on the captain's forehead, the tension is palpable, he looks genuinely afraid. Perhaps he is concerned you will be satisfied with something of value to you, and leave Lothar to reap his revenge on the crew of the 'Uneven Keel' at a later date.
In any case, Lothar is happy to board the 'Uneven Keel' if requested, or remain where he is until you are back ashore.
At the docks, Elthar Helden presents himself, along with two associates. They approach the 'Keel' as it is moored and introduce themselves..
{If Crom wants to recover the Frostbrand before returning to shore, the ship must drop anchor for three hours, which I will note, and a Potion of Free Movement or some equivalent must be consumed to allow the diver to roam around and find the weapon beneath the waves. Let me know.}
