Shay and Dalien relieve Lothar of his belongings while the rest of you either turn your backs or pitch in to share the winnings.
You take his Longsword, a very fine piece and no doubt magical by its weight and handling (Longsword of Lifestealing). A necklace with intricate magical script upon its clasp (Necklace of Missiles, 6x7-die missiles), some boots of a very fine yet tough material (Striding and Springing), some studded leather +2, and a ring of some kind, and no mere ornament at that (RoP +2).
{I'm not big on Identify for PbP games.}
Lothar carries no gold. Shay removes what may be a small spell pouch, and finds some papers in his cloak incriminating various individuals, both in the law of the land, and the unwritten laws of The Guild.
Mel and the crew of the 'Uneven Keel' do not contest you taking anything. They stand quietly and wait for you to finish before tying his hands.
The collecting of a reward for Lothar's capture is likely to be long and drawn out. It could take weeks to get your hands on your share of the gold, and you're in a hurry. What do you want to do with him? Let Mel take care of him now and move on? Something else?
When everybody is ready to chase the next lead, we will move to Whitehill and see what Gerdie the Hedgewitch knows, if anything..

Matrox is happy to let Mel collect the money on his promise that the correct share is given to the party. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: The ring is most useful to a wizard character as the magical bonuses dont stack between rings and armour. I have a +1 ring so maybe someone else should take it? Maybe the new guy Igor if he's playing?

ooc: boots look nice to Goran, but he is content to let someone else have them, he has his icebrand

Dalien chuckles, taunting Matrox a little with the ring. "I see your greedy eyes, wizard. Doesn't seem so bad to be acquiring his stuff now, does it?" He laughs, but having minimal use for the ring, he ultimately tosses it to the wizard.
Looking over the rest of the material, Dalien looks over the boots and necklace approvingly. "Cool, another one. I suppose it's smart to only have one walking fireball, unless you want it, Shay?"
"These boots might be fun..."

{You need to roll for your necklace Dalien. See the Maps and Handouts section, under Magic Items - Misc.}

Crom has no interest in the man's possessions.

Matrox stifles a slightly embarrased smile and pockets the ring nodding to Dalien. "I'll keep this safe until we can think of a use for it...."

(well, the ring still increases saves, so it could be useful to a non wizard. right? Also, if it's +2 and someone only has armor of +1, wouldn't you use the ring's bonus rather than the magical armor's)
Shay takes the necklace from his brother and twirls it a few times around his index finger. "Could be fun," he says. Shay already has far too many pairs of shoes, so he's not too worried about the boots no matter how cool they might look. Human feet tended to be too big anyway.
"Let's try not to get too attatched to some of this stuff though. We're running pretty low on cash, and witches tend to always want something stupid in return for information, like cornsilk grown under a blue moon or some such."
EDIT: Do thieves get XP at this point. How are we doing that?
