SEA GREEN
Lord Amassu continues to ignore Sean, only managing a smirk of contentment.
Lord Amassu then nods and one of the nearby giants takes off running towards the center of the valley. With such massive legs, the giant overs the distance easily and you can barely see the giant as it enters a hidden cave beneath the central stone platform. It emerges a moment later, with a large wicker basket under one arm. The giants thunders back to your position with utmost haste, depositing the basket at Lord Amassu's feet.
The Sky-King points to the basket.
"There is your artifact."
He then waves his hand and solid steps sized for a human form next to his throne, granting access for Natsumi to join him. The lord says nothing further. Waiting for Natsumi to say goodbye. Ella hands over a personal item, Sean turns away in tears, others understand the sacrifice even if it comes suddenly and without warning. Henrick is the only one to be visibly restraining his anger. The captain shakes nearly uncontrollably, his hand never moved from the hilt of his weapon.
Henrick is caught off-guard by the kiss, but returns it passionately in the end. He says nothing more, just lowering his head and he begins sobbing slowly. Lord Amassu addresses you all one final time.
"I will send word to recall the siege. I will make time to speak with the council soon and repair the relations with the humans."
Lord Amassu says nothing further, waiting for Natsumi to board his cloud-throne. When she does, the Lord waives his hand and the clouds enshroud both him and Natsumi instantly. The cloud ascends quickly into the sky, fading from a dark grey thunderhead to a puffy white harmless afternoon cloud. Soon it blends harmlessly with the other clouds in the sky, looking like all the others.
One of the giants heads out of the canyon, presumably headed towards the Dune Palace to remove those on siege there. The other remains at the mouth of the canyon, eyeing you catiously...especially Henrick. The former captain still hasn't taken his eyes off the cloud, even though it has blended with the others in the sky.
The wicker basket sits before you, untouched.
"Anyone else think that was horse shit?" He grumbles.
{If anyone decides to open the basket, inside is the Ribcage of Romar Belamor. I will update the maps & handouts section to reflect as soon as I can. Other than that, what is the plan?
Oh, and congrats to Natsumi for doing this without a single blade being drawn. }

Natsumi -
You take a few steps onto the cloud and notice that though solid enough to support your weight, it still somehow feel insubstantial, like a heavy blanket holding you up. Before you can even turn and glance at your companions you've left behind, Lord Amassu waves his hands and the cloud moves and shifts around you. It forms a large room with no windows, lit only the the ambient light of the day. You feel the cloud lift up beneath your feet, though you cannot tell how rapidly or high you travel. You feel no wind, there are no smells. Your sense are dulled in this place.
Lord Amassu enters from a nearby wall, the clouds parting momentarily like a curtain. They solidify behind him into a smooth wall like the others seconds later. A bed forms nearby, oozing out from the wall before hardening into a platform with a cloudy mattress and several large pillows. Amassu seats himself on this bed and looks at you, massive arms folded across his chest.
"As to your inquiry..." When Amassu speaks now, it is with a much softer voice and actually pleasing to listen to at this range. "Yes, you may see your companions any time I do not require your services or attention."
They Sky-King waves his hand and a pool forms in the center of the room. A mirrored surface forms on the cloudy floor and this mirror shimmers to reveal your companions. You can see your friends as though you were not more than fifteen feet above them. Though the cloud continues to ascend, your vision of them does not change. Henrick stares blankly up, his eyes streaming with tears. The giant is ignorant of the vision on the floor and he waves his hands again. The pool and your companions disappear.
"Tell me bard, do you play?" You snap your eyes to Amassu, who has opened a panel in the cloud wall to reveal a whole cadre of musical instruments of all types and sizes. "It would please me if you sang a tune of my greatness and the glory of giant-kin."

{To the lower wards it is!}
You say your goodbyes to Lockheart and Master Dartius, wondering if you will be able to help the cleric of St. Cuthbert. It would be a wonderful world if the clerics of evil could not contact their gods, but to have the clerics of good out of contact does nothing to soothe your soul. You wander to the nearest lift, eager to get into the undercity and find anyone who bears the symbol you have come to know so personally. The lift takes a few short seconds to descend, dipping into the shadows of the lower wards of New Ravenshead.
With the massive spires over your head, it seems the lower wards never truly see daylight, save for a few select places and a few select times. The whole lower ward is shrouded in shadow...which instinctively makes you shudder. Compound this with the fact that the magical ability to restore the weakness caused by the shade and you quickly become downright afraid of shadows.
Despite your fears, there is much to do in the lower ward. Nearly every base of a massive spire has an inn or tavern, and there are multitudes of carts, stalls and markets to wander through. A barely dressed women seductively beckons you towards an inn, promising to quench whatever needs you may have. A poster ruffles in a slight breeze nearby, something about a reward for the capture of a rogue captain and some theives of the city stores.
You wonder just where to start your search...
