At Crom's question, Gerdie shrugs. "I thought there was a ring with Valdus, it was clearly no more use to its previous owner than Valdus was."At Shay's suggestion that it is time to leave, you find yourselves packing your things and getting ready to go. Once ready, you do not tarry. Gerdie's words haunt you as you take to the road. Now Elthar carries a Shard of the Amulet, Infyrana's gaze will be drawn to him, and she will stop at nothing to prevent the Shards being reunited. Elthar, you try to speak with Valdus as you ride, but everytime you slip the blade out a little the light is worryingly bright and the sword doesn't let you get a word in edge ways with its constant complaining and bemoanment. You sense the sword feels better after a number of rants, but by then it is too late in the day for you to either tolerate listening to it any longer, or to let the light give away your location to any that would mean you harm - any, thing, in Infyrana's service. You can no longer be sure of your enemies. The road becomes a steep trail by the end of the day, winding up into higher ground on its way East to where you hope to find Old Cud's village. Pine trees grip the slopes about you, the smell lingering long into the evening after such a warm day, and reminding you of Cambridge with its brooding evergreen forests. You should reach your destination tomorrow if the horses and party are fit. How will you camp tonight, if at all?

"Two man watches, no fire. With her eye on us we cant risk anything. I'll take the middle watch." Goran quickly sets the order for camp, always atleast one melee awake, and never 2 spellcasters at the same time if it can be avoided.

After the long day's travel, Shay is exhausted when they finally make camp. He raises his arms up into the air for a good stretch and yawns loudly.
"Phew, I'm wiped out. Two man shifts. That sounds good. Crom, yu don't mind taking my shift for me, right? I think I'm gonna hit the old hay."
Shay finds a nice flat spot to sleep and begins spreading out his sleeping bag, taking out his book of monsters again to peruse the pictures before drifting off.

Unable to decide whether to roll his eyes at Goran or Shay, Dalien instead just shakes his head at the two and begins setting up his Alarm spell for the night. Why work for it if magic could do it for you?
"Last watch," is as much as he says to volunteer for a shift, though most will know that is enough. Those accustomed to the brothers can guess that Dalien will be sure to wake up his brother to suffer with him.
They might not guess he'll do it with a bucket of cold water, though.

(Shay does not remember to switch sleeping spots with Matrox for the night. He was going to regret it later. A confused elf with wet pants. That was never a pretty sight, though Dalien seemed to enjoy it well enough every single time.)

Crom will take first watch and check the area around camp, pulling aside or pushing away anything that would aid snipers in the trees and watching for probably approach routes. Several unlit fires will also be placed around the edge of the camp, to be lit quickly as warning or if light is needed. Once he's satisfied with arrangements he'll settle down, weapon in hand and back to a tree, and make good use of his light sleeper NWP (he'll slum the night in armour, discomfort be damned).
