Moving down the cramped chimney, you eventually come to the opening where the sounds of battle are heard. It empties into a large hearth, about ten feet across and half as deep. In the base of this heart is a large metal grate, beneath which the residual embers of a fire slowly die. You could easily step on the grate and see outside the hearth.
{I will assume you either get all the way down or at least look outside the chimney.}
Just outside the heart is a massive hall, a gathering place of titanic proportions. Wooden tables have been upturned or lay smoldering in hearths of similar size across the hall. Plates, utensils and upturned mugs lay strewn across the floor, littered with crushed food and bodies alike.
Dozens of Dwarves lie bloodied and battered on the floor. Sparsely flung among the Dwarves is the occasional human body, dressed in the full plate bearing the symbol of 'The Master'. Each man met a gruesome fate, coming to a short violent end.
Looking further into the chamber, you see the grand hall is divided. The side you are on it nothing but bodies and refuse. The other end, about seventy feet away, is where the sounds of battle come from. Humans clad in full plate raise warhammers and maces against Dwarves barely dressed in armor at all, save for the few pieces of ceremonial gear.
You also witness the source of the earthquakes from above. As the battle rages far to your left, one of the full-plated humans lifts his hands and in response, the grand hall roof shakes and rumbles as if struck by an unseen hand. The massive stones of the roof collapse, falling on the beleaguered Dwarves. From the stone rubble throughout the hall, you imagine this tactic has been used before...
{To give you an idea of what you're up against, you can enter the hall roughly 70 feet downwind of the battle. The Death-speakers have the Dwarves pinned against the far end of the hall, their backs to you. Due to the rubble and detritus in the hall, charging is impossible. The hall is 75 feet wide and 150 feet long, you're coming out just about 100 from the far end and 50ft from the close end. I'll get a map up if you need one.}

[Sense Motive Check X2] Amassu doesn't flinch at the mention of killings. This means that either he believes the accusations to be false or that he is cold-blooded enough to believe they were necessary. You tend to lean towards the latter however, given his arrogance.
As for the Sand Giants, they seem to not only believe this to be true, but they believe in it so strongly that they would risk death to defend the statements. You cannot glean what they think of the death or if they witnessed them, for the provide you no signs.
"The proof is in their corpses, slain by the giant mace the arrogant Sky-Giant wields just there."[/b] One of the Sand Giant states authoritatively. "None saw it, but Amassu's weapon is never from his hands."[/b]
As if to confirm it, or to emphasize the point, Amassu tightens the grip on his mace.
"We would hold Amassu responsible. He wanted the crown more than any and neither deception, cheating or death would stand in his way."[/b]
"ENOUGH!!" Amassu bellows. "I will hear no more! Stand aside Bard, these traitors and their lies end now!"
Amassu begins to take the first few steps to battle, bringing his mace high above his head. The Sand Giants all pull their weapons in response...

[Open Lock and Move Silently Checks] Moving like a stealthy cat, you slip your head into the opening unnoticed. The man below is a middle-aged human clad in the full plate bearing the mark of 'The Master'. He leans heavily on a railing that looks down over a large open area of a warehouse below. The man waits intently for a group of more armored clerics down below to open the double doors leading outside.
The clerics below are casting preparatory spells and suiting up for the fight they hear beyond the doors. Aside from this, the warehouse is relatively open save for a few wooden boxes and sparse accommodations.

Tyrano races to Gildas side, but a misplaced step sends him off-balance and he fails to connect with this strike.
Wanderer manages to connect twice with the great maul of the ancient king, each blow banging on the full plate like the gong of a bell. After the second blow, the Death-Speaker is nearly on one knee, almost knocked clean unconscious.
Gildas manages some trickery, confusing the Death-Speaker as he dances about the battle like a lithe butterfly. The blow connects just below the breastplate, drawing a thin ribbon of blood that flows over the humans' leg plates.
The two Death-Speakers do their best to retaliate. The greatest wounded aims for Wanderer, the other for Gildas, each striking with their maces.

One Death-Speaker manages to strike Gildas, knocking a good wound in his right arm. The other fails to strike Wanderer, his blow sailing wide from his own wounds.
