Gerdie patiently answers your questions.
"It is small, I believe. Belkar was given a great warrior's burial. What treasures he was awarded for his services in life were buried with him, but they were not of sufficient worth to warrant any secrecy with the design of his resting place. Nor were those who laid him to rest of a mind to waste time on spiteful contraptions and the like."
"I have not battled, in the crypt. I have never set foot in Belkar's Crypt, I have never needed to. When Belkar was felled once more, having been raised to serve Nectos in his unholy war, he was once more returned to his Crypt. No doubt some of Nectos' evil followed him there, perhaps even those who carried him down that second time remained there with him."
To Shay's frustration at Gerdie not hinting about the Shard's usefulness to Old Cud, Gerdie merely shrugs.
"Perhaps one of you could find the time to take a detour, and join the others at the Crypt later? He may have to wait the rest of his life for a cure if you don't help him now." {Anybody low on XP?}
{Are you ready to leave? Any specific instructions for the journey? Travel by day/night? Camp? Watches etc.? Is somebody running to Old Cud with the Shard of Healing? I assume you don't think you have time for you all to go back to Shel's Head..
Oh, and Dragon Mountain was written long before OOTS so the name Belkar apparently belongs to TSR.}
What can you tell us of the crypt itself?

What creatures did you face when you last battled there?
