As if from nowhere, moving with speed, and with hardly a sound, three scaled humanoids swoop down into the gulley in which you have been travelling.
Looking up in the low mountains that surround you, you can see many small cave openings from which they could have come, and you are sure they're not alone. This mountain range could be teeming with them. You must be close to the mountain itself here, surely!?
The Dragonkins' cold yellow serpentine eyes pierce you with a cold and calculated malice as they bear down on you from above, their wicked talons and clawed feet braced to slash you as they pass!
Initiative and actions everybody, thanks to the Shard, Elthar was able to warn you all of the ambush, thus avoiding a surprise round. No need for a map - the Dragonkin will continue to make fly-by attacks on you each round until dead, or driven off.

Intiative
[dice=10] +5
Cone of Cold on as many of the attackers as possible
{i need a ruling here....probably fairly simple one hey...just to make sure. The spell says that the cone extends 5ft in length and 1ft in diameter per experience level. Thus as an 11th mage Matrox's cone should be 55ft long and 11ft wide yes?}
11d4 +11 damage, save vs spell for half damage
[dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4][dice=4] +11 = 36 damage
"Send them all to hell!"[rand=0118246462909260550034188868840658869481544824972272651960821173979]
