SEA GREEN
At Gro-bug’s words, the man is most certainly cowed into submission—though perhaps that was never in doubt. He looks suitably afraid of the half-orc and his impressive blade, not to mention what he might do with it, and yet for all that, there is resistance in him. This confuses the barbarian for a moment, until he realizes it is not the man’s fortitude or stubbornness that is enabling to hold out information, as it seemed to be moments ago. Rather, it is that for all Gro-bug’s intimidating manner, the Yexuhl fears something else more.
Though he trembles, the archer shakes his head fervently. “I won’t—I can’t tell you! The things they would do to me…” His eyes grow wider, if at all possible. “You can only torment me as long as I live, half-orc. The Deathspeakers will punish me for eternity!”

Lenny-
[Nobody appears to be trying to force Lenny to stay, so if he’s indeed off, we’ll continue.]
The Halfling heads off for the University, remember that the dwarf they met there proved most information and helpful. An expert of dwarven history, perhaps he could provide some clues. As before, Lenny is forced to relinquish his weapons—unless he manages to hide some—and slips away from the gate just as he hears the guards talk about ‘new restrictions’ and ‘people to look for.’
The gnome works fast.
It takes a little bit of questioning to track down Hallen again, but soon enough a friend of the dwarf’s points Lenny to the library, where he is apparently hard at study. There Lenny finds him, sure enough, with a few books spread around him and spectacles on his face. He doesn’t even notice Lenny walking over to him until he announces is presence
Assuming he does— “Ah, Lenny, isn’t it?” He seems surprised. “I surely didn’t expect you to come back so soon. Is there something I can help you with?” He looks past the Halfling. “Where are your fellows?”
Gildas-
Gildas quickly retracts his statements directed at Lockheart with an apology. The cleric seems a little strained mentally still, though he nods amiably. Forgiveness isn’t exactly an edict St. Cuthbert is well known for, but he seems eager enough to focus on the true enemies in this case.
Wanderer, on the other hand, is perhaps not as easy to move on with matters. As if he has ever been.
Wanderer does not seem at all comforted by any of this. “You raised your sword to strike the man. If you did not intend to strike him, why raise the sword at all? Empty threats do no-one any good.” He grunts. “And yet you say you will turn your blade on anyone who tries to thwart us.”
“Innocent was not the best choice of words. The curator is not a party to our conflict—or wasn’t—and though he seems a wicked and vile example of his species, he is not a murderer or necromancer like those we fight. He is a greedy man, but not an evil man. And yet we have forced his hand all the same. No good can come of this.”
“I’m not saying I can speak any better for us, but I do question your judgment. Such things are necessary for wise decisions. I will fight with you, Gildas, but I will not fight blindly. I believe as much in our mission as you do, but if we are uncompromising in everything we do, we will drive all possible help away for not sharing our lofty aims. Not all men are virtuous.”
His shoulders sag and he gestures to the door. “And now Lenny has chosen his own path. What should we do now? You say to seek the Dean. If the curator has it in his mind to bar us from the University, how will we meet with him?”
Tyrano, Norven-
[Repost]
Sharing their findings (or lack thereof), Norven and Tyrano agree to tail the three black-clad men to wherever it is they’re going. Besides, it’s probably the only way they’ll get back to the others without asking for directions.
However, after several minutes of following the men, it becomes clear that they aren’t heading for the university. Rather, they’re heading towards the docks, a path that takes them down to the less savory regions of New Ravenshead, places Norven recalls being accosted by thugs and ruffians of every shade. The men walk fearlessly despite their high-class appearance, and surprisingly, passersby seem to give them a wide berth, in some cases crossing to the other side of the street to avoid them. There is something about these strangers that all seem to sense and steer away from.
The men often glance behind themselves and look around, probably checking for tails, but Norven and Tyrano are too skilled at what they do to get caught by them. The men aren’t even very good about shaking off a tail or spotting one in the first place, and both men are struck by their amateurish nature in this regard. Not that either has had the opportunity to sneak behind a Deathspeaker before—as these must be, they are sure. Still, the Yexuhl were much stealthier, Tyrano remembers.
Ah, the days of battle. So much simpler.
The three men stay to the man roads for all that they move through poor neighborhoods, making it difficult to set up an ambush for them. Though perhaps Norven and Tyrano are prepared to chance a confrontation on the streets. If there’s anywhere people could see a fight and do nothing to call the guards, this would be it. Neither man has seen a uniformed fellow for some time…
[Tyrano and Norven can stay a steady 60’ behind the men without being spotted. Hard to set up an ambush as their specific path isn’t predictable, except that it is waterbound. Would you guys like to ambush here or keep following?]
[Not a repost] Norven looks to Tyrano as they follow the men, wondering if it is time to act.

Wanderer, on the other hand, is perhaps not as easy to move on with matters. As if he has ever been.
"But", and he turned to Wanderer, "I see no innocence in a man who uses his high position to threaten and extort us, and who makes a mockery out of the importance of our mission. Yet if it is any comfort to you, I did not intent to kill the gnome any more than Lenny did when he uttered his own threats. Till the last moment, I used what powers I had to convince the gnome of his errors."
"If you doubt my judgment, I say this to you: I turn my sword against any man who in any way threatens us or our cause to destroy the deathspeakers. No man, whether he be king or slave, is exempt from that retribution. And if this dean who was spoken of indeed deals with our enemy, then I think it is time we should take the conflict to him."
"If you think otherwise, then by all means, go your own way. I do not presume leadership, but I do expect a joined, uncompromising opposition to those who chose to oppose us. I'm not here for my own cause, or even just that of Tertia. Those who oppose our mission, oppose righteousness and mankind itself, and it is selfdestructive to tolerate their existence."
