"And yet again we see why people should not snoop about in the darkness," Marlowe responds to Ana's apology, though he seems to direct the remark at Edrianna.
Garor concentrates, searching the area until his spell finally ends.
He comes to the conclusion that the ring is nowhere about and must indeed be stolen.
Marlowe is clearly bothered by this news, picking up his own bag and heading out of the room toward the others.
Jade's eyes widen at Garor's statement.
"What's been stolen? Is something wrong? Do you need to speak with my father?"
Jade will lead the group to the inkeeper if they would like to speak with him.
Jade edges closer to Marlowe and places a hand upon his sleeve.
(listen, all success) "Did you finish deciding?" she asks him in a hushed voice.
Marlowe looks down at the barmaid but does not answer, clearly preoccupied by current situation at hand.
Edrianna looks to Ana, "Stolen, that would mean that someone had to come into the room in the night to take it." She is not happy with this thought, Marlowe does not seem at ease either, his gaze also falling upon Ana once more.

"Correct. And they would have had to sneak past Shadow and myself to do so." And, she thinks to herself, they'd have had to wait until the heart of night, as Ana went to bed late. She knew setting up a watch should have been done, but she could hardly do it alone...
She falls into step by Garor, though her eyes linger on Marlowe and Jade. "Someone has stolen the ring, you're right. Those two," she nods at Jade and Marlowe, "Spoke of money last night, and Marlowe has reason to hate the ring... They are still the obvious suspects. But if they took it, it is not with either of them."

"They could hide it. There are ways, and simple ones- but you have to know what you're doing."

"Well, if we really want to know if they took the ring, then there are other ways to get that information out of them." Holding up a hand, he gestures to the group. "I might not be a great combatant, but I do have my uses." His voice is strangely seriously, coming from him makes it even the more eerie considering his usual jovial nature.
"What do you think? Which one do you think is hiding something from us?" Looking over at Garor and Ana he awaits a response.

"Well, they both are, obviously. Jade has asked Marlowe for some kind of favor, and it involves money and possibly people's lives. It is no trifling matter. But Marlowe is also hiding things - but from my words with Edrianna, much of that may simply not be our business. Times have been hard on him." She pauses to mull things over. "I think we would have better luck simply asking Jade for the truth about what's going on. Marlowe is resilient and stubborn - and he hates us. Jade, I think, would understand. And we might be able to help her."
She scrutinizes both of them. "What did you have in mind, Askr?"

Garor thinks a bit, the approaches Edrianna. "How many people knew that you had the diamond ring? There's you, Marlowe, us...did Jade know? Anyone we don't know about?"
