Loopmottin blazes past the tree, hoping to pull a swing from it and distract it from the rest of the group. [AoO @ +15] [dice=20] [Results = 19, no good] The mindless tree swings, but the branch is too low and strikes the ground to early. In a cavalier style move, Loopmottin hurtles his badger over it and takes a closer look as he runs by. [Knowledge Results] This tree looks like it should be dead. The bark is whithered and split, the leaves upon the branches are fabric and painted to look real. It appears that some unnatural magic is at work, turning this tree into an automaton of sorts...a mindless guardian with probably the explicit command to attack the living. The undead wandered beneath it harmlessly seconds ago, it's a safe assumption. He is truly disappointed with Hildigun and her actions, surely putting the rest of the group in unnecessary danger. He has no doubt that the beautiful rhino will pay for the heated temper of its master.
He can only turn his head from the scene, not used to such displays of pure animalism.
He can only shrug. This was certainly not his area.[/glow]

Blind to the pain that she should be feeling Hildi screams again whipping the maul around for another assault.

Creaking and groaning the tree collapses on it side and Hildigunn realizes the tree is down but her rage cannot be contained.

Seething in a red haze she searches for an oponent and finds one right on her flank. That horned beast would die by her hand.

Raising the maul on high she screams wordlessly and brings it crashing down twice at the beast's head.

The first blow is solid but the second one glances off the goddamn armor preventing more damage.

(I guess the combat is over. Next round hildi gets another save to stop raging. If she fails that, Tham will cast Calm Emotions DC 17 once he is safely out of charge range. The spell's range is medium, so he doesn't have to be anywhere near her when he casts it in case she passes that save too. Of course it all depends on whether something else happens, but keep this on note if it's necessary to speed up time)

Loopmottin guides his mount back toward the tree into shooting range while he readies his bow. As his mount steps up, he fires a careful shot at the tree-thing, just so he feels like he's helping.
"We did it!" the gnome exclaims as he watches the berzerker finish the tree with her maul.

Caatrah continues to put as much distance between Hildigunn and himself. She was starting to become a liability.
