{Well, in view of the 24 hour rule, I will get things moving here. We’ll just have drowling get his gear later on; he’s not necessary to get things rolling. Welcome to the first run of the DM’s Shorts.}
=========
As planned, just shy of fifth chime you meet up with your fellows on the West road. According to the instructions given by Jodias the temple is about a days ride, and you are not to arrive before midday tomorrow. You all ride along getting acquainted with one another (or not if you’d prefer) and as night approaches you reach one of the Grenhad’s many Waycamps.
(Waycamps have been in use for decades as common resting areas. Most of them can typically be found about a days travel from any other Waycamp or Burgh. Most are located a short way from the road, where the ground is more suitable for camping (and grazing) and fresh water can always be found. It has been said that there is something magical about the grounds; some unknown force caring for these special havens. Travelers use them without fear of harm from the creatures that may lurk outside.)
You all rest well within the Waycamp and head out fresh in the morning on the last leg of your journey to the temple. Soon enough you crest a small rise and see the small temple on the far end of the valley. As you ride up to the steps of the monastery the doors open to allow a slim but sturdy looking human in flowing purple robes to exit. He bows and greets you all in a cheery voice,
“Welcome, welcome, you are right on time, I must say that I admire the Academy and their views on punctuality. I was asked to greet you and ask your forgiveness for our delay. They are almost ready to depart. My name is Sum Gui, have you any questions before I return to my duties?”
