Fen Sho smiles at the young Human as she professes her faith. "It is my hope that neither should be come necessary on this journey. However your enthusiasm is appreciated. I can see the Academy has trained you all well, I have no concerns about your abilities." ------------ The warrior looks to Noic as he approaches and listens intently to his request. He smiles and then speaks, "Well met Noic Silverhammer the second. I am known as Westin. It is my esteemed honor to meet you. I must admit that I do not follow your question well. If you seek weapons, you have but to ask." He pulls an axe from his waist and hands it to you. "I must humbly admit that these weapons were forged by my hand. I have heard them referred to as Masterwork, but I hardly feel that is the case. There is much yet to be learned in my years of service. If not weapons, tell me what it is that you seek, perhaps it can be made available."

Ekaterina simply fingers her spear, obviously itching to be moving.

"I humbly accept this axe and can see the master in detail that you have put into it. It will server well in battle, if need be. I can see that you are gifted in the art of weaponsmithing. I too hope to one day forge a weapon as fine as this axe." Noic looks at Westin and questions arise.
"You seem to be a fine warrior and a fine smith. I often hear that Masterwork Weapons are greatly appreciated and their cost is high. I apologize for not being able to pay you the cost for such a fine weapon, but instead, I will play a tune that I often play for my grandmother. I am not that versed in music, but it is all I can offer."
Noic begins to play his tune. (+2 Perform) At the end of the tune, he asks more questions. "How long have you been in the service of the temple? What kind of teachings do they hold? What is your status and rank in this group?"

Igor glances nervous at Ekaterina and whispers "Nothing for the rest of us, I guess *sigh*"

Leaning towards Igor
I think if we be lookin for a hand out from them you'd best ask for yourself, They sem to be the type of men that appriciate that sort of thing.
Askr keeps a vigilant eye about his surroundings, wary for trouble.

Westin smiles at the familiar tune from your past, only wincing a few times when you hit sour notes {perform roll 4}. It is a lovely tune, I can see why your Grandmother likes it. Thanks you for sharing it with me. Although I am glad to see that you appreciate my work, " He holds his hand out politely, "As you mentioned before, they are quite time consuming to make, and I would ask that I hold on to this for now. I wouldn't want to be without it should trouble arise. If you wish it's use during the ceremonies I will happily oblige. If you are fond of my work, perhaps Master Sho can arrange for you to keep one." After (hopefully) receiving his blade back, he puts it back in it's place and addresses your questions. "At the temple we all follow Master Sho. We," indicating the warriors around him, "are Weapon Masters. The acolytes you see there," pointing to the pole bearers, "are entry level worshippers. In time, if they prove themselves, they too may become Weapon Masters. I have been in service under Master Sho since my childhood, roughly 60 years or so." This strikes you as odd, he hardly looks 30 muchless 60. "We follow the diciplines of the blade. There is nothing that will stop us from serving Henjo when our time comes."

"We follow the diciplines of the blade. There is nothing that will stop us from serving Henjo when our time comes."
Noic hands the axe back to Westin and bows slightly. "You talk of acolytes and Weapon Masters. Are there any other ranks in the temple? And what is this "disciples of the blade"? Henjo? I have not heard of this person. I also fear to ask what you mean by "nothing will stop you from serving Henjo when your time comes." What is meant by that?"
Noic, remembering as to why he is on this journey somewhat understands loyalty. After all, he is here to make sure his sister does not get herself into trouble. He volunteered for this job so that she couldn't, and also to become better able to protect her.

I move Aravel so that I'm alongside Ekatrina:
My dear lady, you shouldn't have let the poor guy, he was just trying to get on your good side... I can completly understand him, I see many reasons why your good side would be so sought by this one and many others.Tell me if you will why did you join the academy, and I hope I'm not to bold to ask this of you. {All of this is said in a sure somewhat jolly tone that so many women succumbed to ;D}

{You remember Fen Sho telling you earlier about Henjo: ======= "There are no other 'ranks' so to speak. You are either a hopeful acolyte receiving training to become a Blade Master, or you are a Blade Master. Master Sho is the oldest among us, that is why he is the Master. We follow the diciplines of the blade, we are not desciples to it. We train ourselves with every weapon that we can find, and as the name implies, we master all blades. We know the strength in steel and rely on it to help us fulfill our vows to Henjo. When we speak of serving Henjo, it is impossible to know how we will serve him. All we know is that when he calls for us, we will do everything in our power to assist him. This is our purpose."

Igor: "Tell me then, friend, what blades have you made yourself? Now me, I can appreciate a fine longsword as much as anyone, trained with it as I was. Mayhap you'd have one to spare?"

Mayhap you'd have one to spare?" {Who is that directed to? Unless I am mistaken you are still with Fen Sho and the group (minus Noic). If that question is for Westin you may want to ride up and engage in conversation, or hollar it over to him. Let me know.}

"Ah, the demigod. How exactly did your ancestors help this Henjo in the past. Is there a story that you may tell us to pass the time?" Noic now is interested in hearing of a past battle, or some quest that was fulfilled.

Westin looks to Igor and smiles, "It would appear that I do finer work than I give myself credit for. You all seem to be clamoring to get one. Hows this sound, when we arrive at the temple we will find each of you a weapon that you can use during the ceremony. I'm certain that someone has a blade that would fit your tastes." He looks back towards Fen Sho a moment then addresses Noic, "To be perfectly honest I am not the best person to relate the tale of how we came to be devoted to Henjo. Master Sho has lived longer than I and can tell the tale much better." He turns as he's walking and addresses Fen Sho with a small bow, it is rather awkward as hes walking backwards but manages to pull it off without tripping. " Master Fen Sho, would it be possible for you to tell these young travelers the tale of Henjo?" "As I recall Westin, this was your favorite story as a boy. Perhaps it still is. I will share it with everyone. There is more ground yet to travel, but we should have the time." He takes a moment to collect his thoughts, takes a deep breath and begins the tale. By the way he recites it now you get the impression that he's told it many times before. However you are probably the first people not devoted to Henjo that have heard it. "It all began a long ago when my fathers father was young. Our family belonged to a peaceful community of simple folk that enjoyed planting seeds and watching them grow. They prayed often to a demigod that helped thier crops grow. This demigod in return loved the people and their love for all things green. His name was Henjo... {He breaks into a long recitation of how the people were peaceful until an evil god tried to punish Henjo and his subjects. Henjo retailiated and was very badly hurt. He hid in a cave, the very same cave that the temple you are traveling to was built from. His people brought him all manor of things to help him get well, but his healing was a long time coming. When he evil god learned that Henjo lived he sent his devilish minions to finish him off. The people of the land rebelled and lost their peaceful lives. They turned to the ways of War and Henjo taught them what he could. Soon the evil clashed with the once peaceful followers of Henjo. There were a series of viscious battles, and by the time it was done only a few villagers lived to protect Henjo. The forces of evil had receded, and Henjo got healthy. He coud not restore that which had been lost, so he crafted an artifact in his likeness and gave it to the few remaining followers. They devoted their lives to protecting and serving Henjo, in return for the ability to protect their people in the future. Decades had now passed and the followers drew more warriors to them. The each serve their lives training new masters to replace them. And that brings us to current. Fen Sho is finishing the tale just as dusk is beginning to fall.} "A little farther and we're there. It s almost time to do your part." {Modified out some spelling errors}

Slightly mollified at learning the full story, Ekaterina looks thoughtfully into the distance as she rides atop Blightbane.
